I'm really beginning to like Euron. He is the only one that knows how to get under Jamie's skin.
Lots happened in this episode without affecting HBO's budget.

1) 2 battles unseen. Greyworm misses his ride and Jamie learns from his mistakes.
2) Tyrion is no match for Cersei and Jamie. He should be fed to the dragons. Will they refuse a meal?
3) Cersei is really evil. Well, we already knew that, but the remaining Sand snake has turned into a garter snake. Oh,and who is Cersei's body double? Could use more of her on the show.
4) Danni says she is the only Tagarian. Oh the things she doesn't know. Just feed Tyrion to the dragons.
5) Jon Snow finally doesn't know how to give a speech, but at least he knows something but it seems outrageous. Tyrion still manages to convince Danni to help him. Why is she still listening to him? Just feed him to the dragons already.
6) The prodigal son returns, but it is difficult to explain. Just ask Sansa. She is really confused.
7) Speaking of Sansa, Littlefinger gives away the game. If he wants to bed her, why does he keep acting like her father? Littlefinger is one sick dude, but he is like Bobby Fisher. The rest are just living in his world.
8) Hey look Bronn sighting.
9) Jamie learns the truth. Can he handle the truth?
10) Melissandra has a premonition for both Spider and her. He doesn't look all that impressed with the news. And this after he thought the tables were turned.
11) Don't you get the sense that Danni is a little like Ygrette. Just how she says Jon Snow. I think those two will continue to have some interesting "discussions" (if you catch my drift). After all they do need one another now more than ever.
12) Well at least Danni still has 3 dragons the Dothraki. Either Jon Snow is really small or the Dothraki are huge. Although she seems rather stuck, a meeting b/w Danni and Euron would be interesting.
13) Almost forgot. Jorah is set free and Sam receives a promotion from dumping pans to transcribing scrolls. While everyone else is fighting somewhere, Sam is battling paper cuts.
14) Tyrion needs to start drinking again.
15) Things that make you go hmmm. I wonder which character would enjoy a finger the bum in the most. My money is on Euron.

According to previews, Danni has had enough of playing nice.

Danni has the Dothraki, but how are they going to get to Kings Landing? By my estimation she should have no ships left. In episode 2 their fleet consisting of the Greyjoys ships were destroyed by Euron. And last night the rest of their ships were destroyed in the bay outside Casterly Rock.

Unless Danni has an unlimited supply of ships, the Dothraki are either swimming over the Kings Landing or they are taking Uber-Dragon.

Question..... So Jaimie Lannister outsmarts Tyrion on the Casterly Rock invasion. The way I understand it, Jaimie defends Casterly Rock with just a token number of men. He allows The Unsullied Army to take Casterly Rock but then he captures them by burring their ships... They can not leave Casterly Rock by sea because Euron and his fleet are waiting in the bay. And they can not go by foot because it's too far and they would eventually be slaughtered by the Lannister Army on horses.....

So why wouldn't Danni make freeing the Unsullied Army her #1 priority. Send the dragons to Casterlly Rock. Burn Euron's fleet. Burn Jaimie's Army. And let the Unsullied walk out.

I believe the Dragon killing crossbow is sitting over at Kings Landing.

Jamie will kill Euron and Cersei and the Lannister forces will assist in the battle vs. The Night King & White Walkers. The dragons will burn the crap out of everything. Not really sure why getting Ellaria Sand, her daughter, and the Grayjoy chick is such a big deal for Euron. To me, this is a meh triumph. The Lannister army is now in the open so methinks the dragons burn all of them first and the survivors help in the White Walker battle. Don't underestimate how much Olenna Tyrell's revelation slow burns Jamie. Cersei is the reason all their incestuous kids are dead.

Exactly on the Lannister Army. You would not have to a genius "Hand of the King/Queen" or a military tactician, to simply use 3 large fire breathing dragons to annihilate an army which is exposed in the middle of open fields. That large dragon killing cross bow is somewhere at Kings Landing, it's not getting drug around Westeros by Jaimie's army.

The easy, end of battle storyline ....
1. Danni sends her fire breathing dragons and they decimate Jaimie's foot & horseback army.
2. With Jaimie's Army destroyed, this allows The Unsullied easy access to escape Casterly Rock by land.
3. After a good night's rest at Casterly Rock, and a great meal of eating Jaimie's soldiers and horses, the dragons have re-charged their fire-breathing glands and they go and burn all of Euron's ships sitting out there in Casterly Rock Bay.

This leaves Cersei sitting on the Iron Throne with The Mountain, and a large cross bow.

The Red Priestess; "I've brought together fire and ice." No, you brought together fire and ice that already was with just fire. John is familiar with Ice having spent all his life in the North and at the Wall, now he'll get his lessons with fire.

I agree with rudedude, Olenna is in Jaime's head and it will have consequences for Cersei and her alliance with Euron.

The definition of light; the natural agent that stimulates sight and makes things visible. Samwell Tarly showed how to kill a White Walker, found dragon glass at the Fist of the First Men, told John where to go to find more dragon glass to fight the dead, showed how to cure Greyscale. If there is a way to defeat the army of the dead, Sam will find it. He has been very illuminating and it would not surprise me if he is The Lord of Light.

Sam is going to end up being the Narrator of the story. Somewhere along the line Sam will get reunited with Jon Snow and play a crucial part because he will have to see the story up close and in person in order to be the story-teller.

Interesting that you say that, since many feel that George R. R. Martin wrote himself into the story as Sam.

Better episode than the last but way too many convenient victories for Cersei and the Lannisters; this is obviously on purpose so the Lannister downfall is that much more satisfying when she's defeated.

Some quick thoughts...

1. Jon's meeting with Dany was great in a lot of ways, and left me wanting more. Wish they would get on the same page with the 'true enemy' here but still - great to see Tyrion and Jon together after parting in Season 1 and I love when Dany reminds us that she's more than a pretty face and three dragons (her 'eyes slightly glazed over and smirking' look when educating someone is my favorite). Her 'no formal education' quote was funny - especially when she followed it up with her expertise of House Stark. And, Tyrion gets some great lines in too - back to form after not doing much this season so far. Ser Davos's introduction of Jon as King in the North was also hilarious.

2. Not sure what to think about Varys and Melisandre - she seems tired and resigned; not interested in seeing the future she'll help create. I have no doubt she'll redeem herself to Ser Davos. I think Varys won't make it either.

3. Another all too convenient victory for Euron and his magic flying fleet. I assume Cersei got wind of Dany's plan via Yara but again, powerful army defeated with little effort and now the Lannisters look invincible. Who knew you only needed a good fleet to rule Westeros? Have to wonder why the Greyjoys have such a poor reputation - one good pirate and some ships and they've decimated two armies.

4. Sansa looking the part as interim Warden of the North and doing a damn good job. Her reunion with Bean was inderwhelming - maybe ask him how he knows about her wedding night? Or about ANYTHING that could be important or useful? Still - the best scene was her chat with Littlefinger. He's definitely always in the game. I think Sansa for better or worse impressed with his counsel - and he's right.

5. Yay! Sam cured Jorah! Moving on...

6. Cersei is empowered with the capture and revenge killing of the Sands and I don't blame her. One thing I love about this show is how even Cersei can come off as sympathetic. Sending the entire Lannister army (or most of it) to sack Highgarden is proof of her arrogance. I did love Jaime's chat with Lady Olenna her reveal that she actually killed Joffrey; his look while processing the information was really revealing - he knows now Tyrion is innocent and Cersei never gave him a chance. The tea leaves suggest Jaime may have a role to play in Cersei's downfall.

Hope Dany gets medevial next week - she's been playing nice for far too long.

This is the 'look' from Dany I'm talking about...

To be fair, they're only that useful when an invading force is required to use ships. If that's the case, then having the Iron Islands navy on your side is essential (or you have to have dragons and oh, I don't know, actually use them).

Episode was a bit better, but everything is just too convenient now. I guess that was inevitable when you have 10,000 loose ends that need to be tied up and come together for the ultimate conclusion and you have only 13 episodes in which to do it. Everything Sam is so convenient I find it silly. I said it last week jokingly, but now it's not unrealistic to expect one of the books Sam is transcribing to include some piece of info that tells him who Jon really is. In reality, I think Howland Reed comes back into the picture soon (only he and Ned Stark were left when they rescued Lyanna at the Tower of Joy in Bran's vision) to tell Jon who he is.

If Dany doesn't use the dragons next week, this whole thing becomes a comedy (but I think they do come out next week). One of the producers even said after last nights show how the Lannister victories have taken away what seemed like overwhelming odds for Dany to win. Yeah, and you knew how lopsided it was so you just came up with contrived atrocious military strategies to level things. Yawn. When Dany suggests using the dragons, she's told its too dangerous... Then here again, she might as well have dragonflies rather than dragons if you aren't even going to use them.

I'm excited for Petyr to be killed in the next couple weeks. Bran is going to see something that tells him Baelish betrayed Ned, leading to his death. He tells Arya (to arrive in Winterfell shortly), who adds and quickly subtracts a name from her list.

I don't think it will go that far, but I do absolutely expect him to find something in the scrolls, potentially on purpose. I know Maester Ebrose said it wasn't a reward, but this could have been a way to feed him some crumbs without explicitly allowing access to the forbidden books.

Along those lines, is Bran cold to Sansa because he is an omnicient being seeing so much pain who is losing touch with emotion or is it due to something specifically he's seen? Perhaps a flashback of Sansa running to Cersei to alert her of Ned's plans to escape King's Landing in Season 1 which ultimately led to his death?

My take was that this is just part of what happens as the three-eyed raven. In becoming omniscient, he also becomes detached. The previous three eyed raven was so detached he became attached to a tree.

Oooh - Arya wearing Sansa mask?

So do you guys think that Cersei actually gave Elloria Sand's daughter poison with that kiss? I know that weaselly maester said it could take "hours or days" for the poison to kill, depending on the strength of the sample they used, but I have a suspicion that Cersei wants to toy with Elloria for awhile. She might just have faked it. Or, she could offer the prospect of giving the daughter the antidote if Elloria debases herself and begs. I'm not sure what to believe, other than Cersei is really a monster. She enjoyed that bit of revenge so much that it made her horny. A quick BJ for Jamie, and an ensuing demand for "fresh bed sheets." LOL..

That would be very cruel. To watch someone 'die' who isn't really dying... and without proper rest.... OUCH!

I've read elsewhere about a certain dagger that hasn't been seen since Season 1. That dagger made a brief appearance in the book Sam found the dragonglass horde's location, and again in the preview for next week's episode. That dagger also made appearance as part of Arya's wardrobe on a magazine cover...

My take on this all...

1. Arya is headed to Winterfell
2. Arya will talk to Bran and find out Littlefinger's role in Ned's death
3. Arya will steel the dagger and kill Littlefinger with it
4. This dagger will play a MAJOR role in the Dead King's demise

Query whether Arya could pose as a White Walker in the way she posed as Walder Frey.

Didn't Littlefinger use said dagger to frame Tyrion as well?

I think so... and after Jamie's revelation at High Garden it may turn out that he has a change of heart when it comes to hunting down and killing his brother to please his sister.

Jaime never blamed Tyrion for killing Joffrey, so this doesn't change that. He swore to kill Tryion if they met again once he found out Tyrion killed Tywin. This could potentially change Cersei's hatred and strategy towards Sansa.

The catspaw dagger definitely has a role to play. It's a Valyrian steel dagger with a dragonbone hilt. The steel alone is useful in the war to come. They really paused on it in the view of the book page in episode 1.

I liked the dialogue much better this week. Some subtly funny moments.

Tyrion on Sansa: "She's smarter than she lets on"
Jon: "She's starting to let on"

Missandei: 10 minutes of intro of Dany's titles
Davos: "This is Jon Snow. (long pause) He's king in the north."

Jon: "I'm not a Stark"
Dragon flies very low over him to check out the newly arrived Targ..

Also, I liked Littlefinger's double take when the maester mentioned that the previous Maester Luwin kept a record of every single raven message that came to Winterfell. Littlefinger was behind the raven from Lysa that persuaded Ned to go South (and die). Cat threw it in the fire in season 1 but he doesn't know that.

I also don't think Dany burned all the masters ships in the battle of Slaver's Bay. Tyrion told the masters "thank you, our queen does love ships" or something to that effect.

Nor did his father, Tywin, give Tyrion a chance. Tywin's failure to give Tyrion a chance is more likely to bring Jamie around with respect to Tyrion as he was very upset with Tyrion killing his father.
