Trace McSorley is the greatest quarterback we have ever had. Why? He just completed back to back great seasons. Both last year and this year can only be classified as great. Kerry Collins was great in his last season 1994, but only had good/very good seasons prior. I've been watching since 1967. We've had some very good quarterbacks such as Fusina, Hufnagle, Blackledge, Sacca, Collins, Clarke, Mills, etc. Our two championship years were quarterbacked by solid leaders with average arms, Burkhardt and Shaeffer. McGloin was solid and Hackenberg had the best first season. However, no one before McSorley put together back to back great seasons or even had 2 great seasons in his career. His ability to think, run and pass make him special. He will play in the NFL after next year, though maybe not as a starter. Still, in my mind, he must go down as the best "college" quarterback in Penn State History. Let's appreciate him for what he is.
