I barely pay attention to the color commentary in any given game because it rarely adds much to the broadcast. But last night's was so bad, I couldn't help but notice it even at the most crucial time of the game. Did anyone else catch Greg McElroy talking about how ND didn't want to score too early, while they weren't even yet in good FG range with 30 seconds left in the game? Just bafflingly bad. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Not surprisingly, I found some commentary online about his nonsense:
