Good point. We had the rare defense that could bail us out by holding them to a field goal. Can't count on that in 22, so he has to be better than that.

It's really hard to imagine they'll go with Clifford in '22. How much more proof do we need that he's too inconsistent to build an offense around. Keep him around to back up CV and the frosh. Otherwise recognize he is who he is...not gonna change in his sixth year...and move on!!
Only way Cliff isn’t starting in the fall is if Allar beats him out this spring and Cliff retires or portals.
Yeah I can see Clifford start the season but changes will come, hopefully soon.
Franklin will see the unintended consequences of bringing Clifford back -- more pressure on the Head Coach to win.
It's good to emphasize chunk plays, but that shouldn't be the whole offense. A lot of times the chunk plays are needed because the defense relies so much on pressure, meaning we usually give up at least one long score per game despite frequently stopping the opponent for no gain or loss.
Not sure about that...hopefully the way the Outback went will finally wake CJF up re the reality of Clifford.
We would have been 5-6 this year if not for Ball State and Villanova. Without those game we wouldn't have been bowl eligible.
If CJF didn't want Clifford as his QB next year he would have told him to free up a spot for another recruit or portal player.
Im actually on the other side....i have no idea what the line is going to look like and therefore don't want to throw Allar in the mix right away. Plus I do think CV transfers after Spring Ball.
