Take a stroll over to the Rutgers board and you’ll literally find 90% of the threads discussing the return of the “savior” of Rutgers football...there is not a doubt in their mind that Schiano is the right hire based in his modest success 10 years ago in the watered down Big East...
I doubt he would come back as it is much harder to win now than 10 years ago there, but what If he did come back? Would he be able to recruit better than Ash/Flood? Would he find similar modest success as he did 10 years ago? Where would Rutgers turn if in four years he still couldn’t get them to a bowl game?
Funny how the names mentioned as options are:
Schiano - a JoePa disciple
Golden - a JoePa desciple
Rhule - a JoePa desciple
McNulty - a JoePa desciple
Morehead - a CJF desciple
Yet they can’t stand anything Penn State...hmmm...
