It was a magical place called Florida. To be more specific, Jacksonville, Florida. I was assisting my daughter in getting settled in a new apartment for her new accounting position (with a raise) relocating from Atlanta. All the stores and restaurants were open, well-staffed, and very efficient. Occasionally I saw someone with a mask, but that was the only reminder of a lost societal construct that exists in many other locales in the USA, including my home state (for the moment) of Maryland.
