The halfway point between the end of 2018-19 (March 23) and the official beginning of 2019-20 (November 1), best I can calculate :), is this Friday (July 12).

Never one to wish my life away -- iow, hoping time goes by slowly -- still, I am excited for the start of next season.

It feels like the glass half empty part of the offseason right now

...we wrestle @ Lehigh on Friday, December 6th at 7 PM...
... no mention of PPL Arena so it will likely be back at Stabler...

This summer has actually seemed a lot more quiet on this forum. We need an Iceland thread reborn.
I think that's because there haven't been any surprises this offseason.

Line up questions we pretty much new coming in.....

Ho hum ......cael landed some studs to replenish the pipeline.

Our guys win at FS and make world teams....

tHR hates us ....

RU wants to be us.....

Circle of life carries on, one might say

Solved. Icelandic cereal.

Ok, folks, there's your task: quote bubbles for the bear. What is he saying?

[Assume the bear is a D1 wrestling fan.]

Does Matt Parker win the spot at 125 and debut at Lehigh? I am assuming that is the first dual meet.

Bwi should plan an offseason trip for our board members. Jefe add that to the next agenda.

Then the Iceland tourism agency owes us a good time for all the attention we bring them.

did you get any Juice Machine?

The day we were there, they limited everyone to just 2 drafts. I got a Haze and a Hurricane (the Haze had kicked). Both were over the top good.
Is Juice Machine good?
Unfortunately, we were flying so couldn't wait in the 200 yard long "can line" to purchase and bring home. Next time I'll drive and wait in line with a dolly. Ppl were coming out with 7 cases at a time, one after another, and there was a line all afternoon. It's a phenomenon.

Yep, he knows the last time we didn't have a dual in November was probably in the 1970s.

I don't know why the eye roll. I don't know the last time PSU didn't have a dual in November. Was I supposed to know that? I don't even remember what month the first dual was last year and I watched every dual meet.

EDIT - I looked it up and the first dual meet last year was 11/30. You know, the last day of November. I guess it's not so crazy to think the first dual might be the beginning of December.

First dual last year was November 11 against Kent State. Not to mention we wrestled at the KeyStone Classic in November the last few years. The eye roll was just me trying to be funny and yes, I would expect anyone that follows wrestling closely enough that they participate on this board to have a pretty good idea of when the season starts.

You're right. I don't know how I missed the Kent State dual when I looked at the schedule again. I mean, I have an idea of when the season starts but I have a terrible memory. November/December is my idea of when the season starts. Like I said, I watched every dual last year and I couldn't have told you when specifically the first dual was.

Not a big deal. I was just ragging on you a bit. :D

It's cool. I'll just have to do some PIs after work today for missing the Kent State dual on the schedule. "Personal improvements" were what my coach used to give guys screwing around in practice. It meant you were running sprints afterwards.
