The severe nature and unusual living conditions tempered Iceland women. Women in this country have always had equal rights with men. Proof of this fact that at the birth a girl is given a last name, which she has during her life. Iceland women drive a car well, are addicted to wrestling and love knitting. In addition, the contemplation of huge volcanoes, icy plains and valley of geysers give beauty, peace of mind and tranquility. A recent american weekly newsweek acknowledged Iceland the best country for women's lives, taking into account of criteria such as women's access to education, rights and medicine, participation women in politics. Recognition the beauty of Icelandic women prove model Asdis Ran and Miss World Unnur Byrne.

Fellas, a little respect for our non-Icelandic women on the forum?

Not trying to be a downer, but imagine how you'd enjoy this place if things were reversed, where it was dominated by women, and they kept posting and drooling over pics of hot Italian guys.

(You may ignore that analogy, LP. ;))

Stay out of my fantasy.

For those looking to travel -- book flights soon.

There are always airfare sales around the major holidays -- Independence Day being possibly the biggest sales. Last year ithose sales expired the following week.

Right now there are yuge discounts to Europe, Asia, Mexico, Central America, and the Middle East. While they last.

WTH? You casually drop this news into an off-season thread that has nothing to do with wrestling? Crazy.
IF true, I'm starting to believe the "Nico's Curse" thing. I mean really.

They, the women just look at Cassar, as does lemonpie

If you have a specific destination in mind, I'd keep holiday sales in my back pocket and watch for other deals in the meantime.

Or do a periodic flexible date search on Google Flights.

Copenhagen seems to be one of the cheaper European airports to fly into. Once you're in Europe, you can find a lot of good airfares between cities. Keep an eye on Norwegian Air. Also, as El Jefe suggeted, Google flights is your friend.

Funny traveling experience from Copenhagen.

Trying to fly back to Schipol one evening, my flight got cancelled. As I approached a CSR, he was on the phone, having a conversation with someone who was apparently not having a good time with whatever language they were using. After several minutes of struggle, the CSR says, "Look, can we just speak English. I can't understand what you're saying." The conversation continued and finished in perfect English.

Depends on the departure airport ... for me (PHL), the best Euro airports are Barcelona and Amsterdam. Dublin, except most follow-on flights are on Ryanair. Maybe Zurich, though the connecting flights can be expensive.

One thing to watch with this strategy: you might be paying baggage to get to Europe and again to the destination. Though some discount airlines that fly to the US charge baggage per leg, in which case that's a wash.

I like Google Flights for quick searches or for broad searches (such as an entire region or continent at once). But for more specific searches, I greatly prefer the ITA Software Matrix tool (LINK). Far more powerful search engine. It can be a little complicated -- but if you select the "See calendar of lowest fares" option, you can search for a range of trip durations within a calendar month -- for example, all flights to Oslo,1 stop or less, 6-13 days, starting any day in April 2020. The resulting calendar lets you see the lowest fare on each departure date -- and hover the cursor over a date to see the prices for each trip duration.

Also something to consider... if you book your Europe flight through Iceland Air, you can schedule up to a 7-day stayover “connection” in Iceland, then continue onto your final destination, at no extra charge. Our initial plan was Newark to Paris... but with the stayover option, we flew into Iceland, stayed 5 days, continued onto Paris. We found an awesome AirBnB in downtown Reykjavik. Hotels (and food) are crazy expensive.

Good stuff fellas! Love this forum. We get the info on why WE ARE the best and a little side info.
I'm piss poor at bbq, haven't traveled to Scandinavia, never been with a Icelandic gal, and dislike cold cereal.
Waiting for discussion on falling a tree, getting your wrestler through vegas emergency room, or critiquing spiced rum. Then I'm your guy

Saw flights to London (round trip) this week for less than $400. And if you're willing to shop around, and you're flexible -- as others have pointed out -- some of the less popular airports in Europe have excellent airfares.

when falling a tree, make sure to consider the wind when making your plans!

Combine a little flexibility with a safe, reliable and easily accessible European rail network and your possibilities increase dramatically. Particularly for students and retirees.

And make sure your truck is parked an adequate distance away.
When I was a kid my dad had a similar miscalculation and dropped a tree onto the open tailgate of his truck. Fortunately just the top of the tree hit the tailgate and didn't bend it too badly. Unfortunately his toolbox was sitting open on the tailgate at the time. It rained sockets for a little while.;)

The Mrs. and I are traveling to Europe (Amsterdam, Santorini, London) in a few weeks. I will work on trying to content for the board.

Any recommendations for things to definitely do would be lovely.

How many days in each place, and what do you two like to do?
