Happy 3-year anniversary: Grant Haley......will score!

Cubs also clinched a World Series bid that night.

Needless to say, it's a sports night this Cubs fan won't soon forget.

In the pantheon of Penn State football, that block, scoop, and score has to rank among the most 5 meaningful single plays ever. No?

As much as I loved Haley's scoop and score, lets not forget OSU had about 3 minutes with the ball. I just loved the way PSU D knocked the crap out of JT Barrett....KABINDA! And lets not forget Haley's tackle on the Wisky RB to nail down the Big Ten Title!

Certainly the INT to seal the Miami win, and the Blackledge to Garrity pass are top-5.

Blackledge to Kirk Bowman to beat Nebraska in '82 is probably up there.

Tamba Hali's strip sack of Troy Smith. The defining play of the season that brought Penn State back from the dark years.

The 4th and goal stop at the 1-yard-line against #3 NC State in '67 helped get the Paterno era going.

I'll always love the Thompson-to-Fields ~75-yard TD pass to beat Miami in '99, but that season didn't materialize into what it could have been. Otherwise, that was an all-time moment.

Agreed. If I live forever I will not forget the realization that came over me when that game ended and it dawned on me we had the tiebreaker and chance to win the conference title. All we needed was Michigan to shit the bed. And of course they happily obliged.

I drank alot of beer that month!!

My parents had tickets in the one row for non students behind the student section. I was slumped in my seat a little, resigned, I jumped up so fast I strained my hamstring! It was pain and happiness all at once.
I was lucky enough to be in the stadium for that, the Hali sack and the Michigan overtime game. (Also minny 1999 )
