Despite the pouring rain during my commute into downtown Washington this morning, I had the shortest commute of the semester so far.
You might have discovered a solution to the inadequate infrastructure problem.
Did Christopher Columbus and his “wise guys” use the queen’s influence and start knocking down on the natives for protection money? Just wondering.
Jim also wrote the lyrics to one of my favorite Association songs, No Fair At All.

Edit: Actually "culturally inappropriate" is probably more accurate. There's a lot of cultural appropriation mixed in there too.

Well, we had better all put a stop to this...Italian-Americans celebrate Columbus Day.

Part of the Notre Dame campus is on land that belonged to the Potawatomi tribe. They should give it back immediately.

Of course he never discovered North America, only the Caribbean and Central America. And he interestingly brought an indigenes person back on one of the ships. The Vikings discovered North America but were not interesting settling it. Read some of Professor William M Fowler’s books about early shipping and exploration.

This is the thing. I wonder whether we/they would trade the moral purity of not honoring the European invader for having to work the day. Somehow I doubt it.
Particularly if said land sits under that monstrosity of a football stadium.
