This community has much to be thankful for, wrestling-wise. For me personally, and hopefully for all of you as well, there is much to be thankful for outside wrestling too.

My Gwad I hated Thanksgiving and Christmas when I was wrestling. I was either eating basically nothing while everyone else was stuffing their faces or was putting on sweats and going for a long run after a decent meal. Neither was much fun. Easter was my holiday ;-)
nope, we had a scrimmage where you had to weigh-in every year, the Saturday after TDay... plus hunting season made it tough - leaving the woods and not eating at camp.I don't remember Thanksgiving being that much of a problem during wrestling season. It's been longer than I like to admit, but I don't think we practiced or had a tournament after Thanksgiving, so we basically had until Monday's practice to try to work off some of the calories. (And still 2 weeks before the 1st dual, so you had time to cut weight.)
Christmas on the other hand went from one of my favorite holidays to a day of frustration. The rest of the family was eating a great meal, lots of desserts, and assorted other things, and I spent the entire day worrying about weighing in at 8 am the next day for a tournament. And I wasn't cutting a lot of weight. I don't miss that experience.
