Harvey Winestein settles for 44 million.

I wonder if that is for his company or for him. Typically, the policy covers the company and he is also covered via indemnification. However, the indemnification is null and void if a felony was committed. So the press may have it wrong...that this is to cover his company. But his damages, personally, may still be coming if these gals sue him individually.

The settlement is tentative, but all the sources (for what they're worth) are reporting that it's being paid by insurance policies, not by Weinstein directly. Also, $14 million of the $44 million is paying for the legal fees of the Weinstein Company board members who were named as defendants in the lawsuit. Weinstein's criminal trial is scheduled to begin on Sept. 9.

Rounding error. My guess is he is worth 500mm- 1 billion. 44 is a joke imo.

sometimes it still covers the individual as part of the settlement...kind of like an NDA. By not going after Harvey, they are in some ways, protecting the company.

consenting adult- not the same thing at all, but you knew that, didn't you?

lol. Just sexual misconduct WHILE HE WAS IN OFFICE.

Remember how you avoid the news?? What a f'in joke.

But you knew that, didn't you?

the list of Presidents who carried on affairs is a long one.

that doesn't make your hero any less of a POS
and yes, so was Bubba

He's not my hero. Far from it.

Just pointing out that you're just being a typical, liberal hypocrite. That's all. But you already knew that!

you assume that I vote for any of these assholes? then you are mistaken
Come on Nitt, how did you not vote for this one, looks as legitimate as the others.
I hope I didn't turn this into a political by mentioning Vermin. Actually the name seems to be politically correct ...
Wonder if he had CIA protection during his campaign?
Vermin Supreme Promised Ponies And An Economy Full of Them

Despite Vermin making many bizarre promises, the promise to provide ponies to everyone might have been the most farfetched. On top of that, he wanted the United States to transition into a pony-based economy, which sounds nice in theory but might be hard to actually make happen.

As seen above, Supreme is known for wearing a boot on his head as a hat, so that could make it a little harder for his message to be taken seriously.
