the rest of the offense.
The thing that clearly concerns me the most, is that this is their Super Bowl and it is just such a huge game for them.
Have you ever noticed that there are never huge games for us? Just huge games for our opponents, lol
That was sarcasm, by the way.
Well, that Super Bowl focus has not helped Temple a whole lot, and it won't do them much good this week either.I have confidence in the qb. It's the weak O line and lack of intensity PSU traditionally shows while playing Temple (as opposed to the almost Super Bowl like focus Temple puts on playing PSU) that I'm worried about.![]()
I hope that Hack has worked on beating the blitz this summer. I expect Temple to bring the house on every play until our OL shows it can handle it. Those quick flair passes to backs can be deadly if he can hit them regularly.the rest of the offense.

Matt Rhule actually addressed that in his Inquirer interview, and really tried to tamp down the whole thing. Actually trying to get his team to consider the whole season, not just the PSU game.
Temple has a shot at a conference title, which would get them to a bowl game. But to do that they have to beat Cincy -- which is the week after the PSU game. So the last thing Rhule wants is for his team to play PSU and then come out flat for Cincy.
It makes a lot of sense. What has happened in the past for Temple is that they play well against PSU, play a competitive game, and then not play anywhere near that level in their conference.
Also, apparently Temple's best pass rusher has a hammy and is not practicing this week. Rhule says he'll only play if he's healed -- which appears unlikely since hamstrings do not heal fast. They really want him available for the Cincinnati game and won't risk that by playing him against PSU unless he can really be effective. Anyway that might be good news for Paris Palmer.
Not sure how this could be good news for Palmer. I would think he would want to play against the opposition's best to prove he has earned his spot.
