not to lose", what do you think about Rutgers Offensive attack yesterday? IMO they "played to NOT lose by a HUGE margin." It looks as if they never really tried to move the ball, but instead they conceded the loss early in the 3rd Quarter and worked the clock, trying to keep PSU's score under 40 points.
I can understand them doing that in the first half, trying to stay competitive until Halftime, which they did successfully. But at 28 - 6 they were still doing the exact same thing. It's like they were working down the clock so that PSU wouldn't humiliate them. Maybe Ash/Kill were thinking about the negative recruiting effects of losing by a huge margin, and decided that the game was already lost mid-3rd Quarter? IDK but IMO they didn't even try to win after PSU went up 21 - 6. I was wondering if anyone else saw what I think I saw.
