Last season when the Offense was putrid, we saw post after post SWEARING that CJF was "stifling" KC, and that "Franklin's fingerprints are all over the Offensive Gameplan and playcalling". Of course these accusations were made without ONE SINGLE TINY piece of evidence. But some fans SWORE that it was obviously CJF's fault that the Offense was bad, and that he PERSONALLY was calling the plays and formulating the Gameplan.

So now, in 2021, the Offense is chugging along smoothly, the playcalling is outstanding and the Offense is putting up points...and not one of these guys have surfaced to give Franklin CREDIT for having "his fingerprints all over the Gameplan and stifling the OCoord's playcalling."

So which one is it? Does CJF totally meddle in the Offense and have his dirty little fingers all over the Gameplan and Playcalling? Or does that only apply when the Offense sucks? Did CJF dislike KC and decide to make him look bad? Or maybe was the fault of the lousy Offense appropriately laid at the feet of the OCoord, whose job it is to make the Offense work? If CJF got most of the blame LAST season, doesn't it follow that he should get most of the credit THIS season?

Obviously neither choice is correct. The job of Gameplanning and Playcalling is predominantly the OCoord's with SOME input of the Head Coach. The idea that CJF totally took over the Offense last season or ANY season was absurd back then, and is still absurd. Franklin is an outstanding Head Coach, and MY is an outstanding OCoord. Maybe some day the Franklin Bashers might realize just what PSU has in CJF and his Staff.
