Hey all of you who said our O was GREAT

Drew Allar was 12 for 31 passing(the real stat. The garbage time crap when Osu went prevent doesn't count). That percentage is the second worst passing percentage in modern day Penn State history, only 3rd stringer and legacy kid(he had no business even making the team, his only other offer was Slippery Rock) Chris Ganter was worse, going a nearly impossible 6 for 26 against Wisconsin in the dark years.

O for 15 was Penn States all time record worst on third down. The 1 conversion in garbage time doesn't count.

The 12 for 31 was worse than any other performance by a QB at Penn State ever. Not 6-4, not even any of the other dark years performances when Zach Mills was throwing with a broken arm practically to FAR FAR FAR worse receivers than we have now. You want to see bad receivers? 03 and 04 were probably the worst I have ever seen.
Thank you for the clarification.

You are welcome. I pointed these numbers out because I knew what this board would be spinning and spinning all week, and boy they didn't disappoint 😂. Blaming Franklin, the receivers, the o line, Yurcich, the weather, the crowd, the noon start time, the pregame meal, and the hotel beds in Columbus and every other thing on earth not named Drew Allar.

It's common place in football today to avoid quarterback criticism to appear intelligent. Sometimes you lose the game because your quarterback isn't ready for the moment. For the record I think he will grow from this.

I hope the kid grew up on Saturday and I think maybe he did, we are going to need him to win the rest of our games. And we damn sure can win the REST of our games INCLUDING MICHIGAN because our defense is the best in the country. Even Harrison called us that post game after torching us. He destroyed Georgia and their war daddy mercenary defense last year also.

Why the offense went away from the run is puzzling. They were having some success and just abandoned it. Allar was off the mark and receivers were dropping passes. The PSU TD off the board …..I wish I had simulcast to see when the penalty occurred. And last, when Day goes for the TD over the FG I thought that was a dumb ass decision only to be outdone by CJF going on 4th down with over 7 minutes left. Punt and hope your Def. makes a play.
That’s all I have to say I’m out"……..
Everybody says how the running game was working before it was abandoned. The average yards per carry WITH the 2 long runs that everybody is referring to included was 1.9 YPC . I read on an OSU board that if those 2 runs are taken away the average yards per carry was about 1/3 of a yard per carry. So what am I missing? How was the running game working?

Speaking for my self, I stated the running game was having “some“ success as witnessed by the two long runs. My perception was they are finding some success there why not stick with it to hopefully open up some opportunities in the passing game, which was having no succes.

A couple decent runs on 18 (or whatever) carries isn't some success. Ys horrible. Doesn't mean that we shouldn't have committed to it...they should...but leading up to the game anyone being honest knew the run game had major issues. I understand some were being optimistic but their were red flags everywhere for this offense.

It was not all Allar's fault. He was terrible for sure. The WRs were lousy, offensive line was not good. Allar just started circling the drain like a golfer after a couple bad holes it just fell apart for him.

Not sure how much we will glean on Saturday because Indiana is one of the worst Power 5 programs and on the level of a MAC school. Things to evaluate among others are his mechanics and his accuracy

Of course it was not all Drew's fault. I'm finished making the painful point I had to make. Now it's up to Drew. I hope he grew from the experience. I believe he has, but the proof will be on the field.

Noon on Saturday. You can do this Drew.
