.....Just a lot of "If's". The offense has performed like a slipping transmission this season. You all know the drill regarding the O line.

If the O line can have a decent game.
If they can give Hack some time to pass.
If the play calling does not get too cute.
If the defense does not have to stay on the field too long.

It would be great to send Hackenburg out on a high note and to showcase Barkley.

No idea what type of team Georgia will field. Here is hoping for one game this season where our guys can pull it all together.

Best of luck...We Are!!.....

I know PSU is not a great team and the offensive issues have been well
documented, but UGA basically has no coaching staff for this game. I'm tough on Franklin and his staff because my expectations are high given the amount of money they are being paid. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect Franklin to be able to beat the receivers coach for UGA and his staff of graduate assistant coaches. This is one game where any effect of the sanctions should be mitigated by the fact that UGA basically has no coaches. I expect a PSU victory in this game and I don't think those expectations are unreasonable in the least. We Are ....

And, on the other hand, who knows what Georgia's going to do on O or on D? They certainly have some element of surprise on their side.....!

After seeing all the blow outs today I have to admit I'm more nervous than before over the game tomorrow. o_O

I'm afraid that Georgia has enough talent to overcome the coaching turmoil. I'm trying to think of an opponent that had talent but underperformed against us as a comparison, but every team we lost to was well coached. Maybe Maryland would be the closest comparison for teams we beat, but Georgia has significantly better talent.

I guess it all comes down to whether we can give Hack time to throw and can we stop their running game. I'd say it could be anywhere from a close PSU victory to a two TD victory for Georgia.

I live here in Georgia...naturally have many UGA
friends. I am just hoping we play well and make a good showing. Georgia is 2nd only to Bama in the SEC with the number of great athletes so I'm not expecting to win the game......just hope it's close.

You do know that the players will determine the outcome? So if JF was making minimum wage, you would approve of his work?

Georgia has a significant talent advantage over us, but I think with the coaching turmoil that advantage is nullified (although not fully eliminated). I'm also afraid that Georgia no longer having Brian Schottenheimer calling plays gives them even more of advantage. Historically, Franklin has been an above-average coach in terms of preparing for bowl games (3-1 in bowls for his career), so I'm predicting a close PSU victory - but I wouldn't be surprised if Georgia's distinct talent advantage is the difference.

A lot of teams haven't bothered to show up this post season. It will be interesting to see how that trend unfolds in your game.

At this point of the season the QB and offense should know the playbook and be able to call the plays. Execution shouldn't suffer at all.

I think the PSU defense carries the day. Greyson Lambert is a statue in the pocket and he's a scattershot of a passer. UGA has RB depth issues. In their last 2 games, they scored a total of 36 points against a 3-8 G Tech team and a GA Southern team that took them to OT. If PSU is healthy and has the pass rush revved up and the front 7 are on their game with the run, I don't see UGA putting more than 10 on the board. Then it'll be up to the O line to protect Hack and open holes for Barkley. Hopefully Rahne's game plan is a bit more imaginative than that other clown's was. It's a bowl game so let's let it hang out a little bit and empty the playbook.

Well if were good enough we'll finally be right up there with tOSU and Meechgan and make jimbo proud.

We should be fine for this game, if we use some stickum

I'm curious to see if coach Morehead has spotted some obvious flaws in the O or at least the routes were running. If receivers are wide open tomorrow especially in the middle of the field,i would say our staff did their homework.

Lions lose in awful game barely viewed because people just don't care... Dawgs care just enough to win and sack Sackenburg 37 times... New statue erected in honor of statue QB who goes undrafted because he was entirely a product of star ratings and hype... Joins Jack Ham as color analyst in 2 years... It's more true than you think folks

Looks like a Pitt fan is a little testy after getting torched by mighty Navy and their chances to win the PSU game next year took a major hit today with Boyd leaving. ;)

I think we lose by 20ish. Would love to see it not happen, but it's not like a new O coach is going to fix an oline in 15 practices. Nice to see the pitt trolls stopping by. I recall their bowl prediction post and nary a soul had them losing to Navy.

Hard to predict with so many coached gone or in new positions. But we've got Nassib back for the first time in three games, a healthyNelson at RT and stability for starters for the first time since going into Temple.

The only real problem is getting time to throw.

I think we've got every opportunity to win this game. We've got to grab momentum quickly. IMHO whoever wins the first quarter wins this game.

Why would you waste 30 seconds of our lives with this? Go home and sleep it off, pal!

IF we have an entire team. it seems each week we have to figure out who is NOT playing for some reason. having the entire team would be a big help.

even with all our players, Georgia is substantially ahead of us in talent. they might be #2 in SEC in talent. our OL does not have a single player that could start anywhere else in our conference. it would seem we will need a very creative OFF to do anything. if a bunch of also rans from Temple can give this OFF trouble, how do we control Georgia studs. IF our DEF is all there and 100% healthy, then we can keep it close.

our ST are as usual a big liability also. we had a guy who could KO through EZ but now he cant even kick in bounds and rarely gets the 10 yd line. punting continues at HS level.

a close loss would be a good day for us.

The general trend in the bowl games has been high scoring -- the winners yesterday all scored over 40 points.
Some positives for PSU are the improved health of the team and apparently some good practice sessions. Georgia has the talent to deserve the favorite role, but I think the Nits find a way to get it done.....big game for Hack.

And yet with this "significant talent advantage" they ranked 83rd in scoring offense. They aren't as talented as people here are giving them credited for. At least it hasn't translated on to the field.
