Hornibrook's the better passer. If all Wisky does is run with no pass threat, our front 7 is in great position. Think Iowa. Think Ohio State. What happened in those games without a passing threat?
It's by definition a
subjective judgement.......
At that, you sure you want to adopt that "take"?
104 comp 179 attempts 1243 yards 58.1 pct 6.94 ypa 8 td 7 int 123.4 rating
69 comp 108 attempts 912 yards 63.9 pct 8.44 ypa 5 td 3 int 144.5 rating
And there is a HUGE difference in mobility (the longest run gain in Hornibrook's career is TWO yards.....and Hornibrook takes sacks at THREE times the rate of Houston)
Or, one could just watch the games
Whatever Hornibrook's health status is.....Chryst will have Houston on the field a lot (if not the large majority) of the game.
Bottom line - it doesn't much matter if Hornibrook is "out" or not (aside from what would happen if Houston gets hurt)
Houston was the starter at the beginning of the year....Hornibrook was phased in...and then Houston started to split time in November.
Houston is the more mobile, stronger-armed kid (and the guy with better "stats")....but most importantly......the Minnesota game last week.
UW was getting it handed to them - down 17-7 in the third Q, and the only Wisconsin offense to that point was when Houston rotated in in the first half and led the Badgers to an 80 TD drive (was 3-3 on the drive for about 40 yards).
After Hornibrook was hurt (though Houston would have likely rotated in anyway)......Wisconsin outscored Minnesota 24-0.
A lot of that was due to "Bad Mitch Leidner".....but Houston definitely had shown enough (especially with how poorly Hornibrook was playing before his injury) to regain the upper hand in the Wisconsin QB derby.
