I am sorry how this has turned out for Penn State, as I have always been an admirer. I appreciate all of you who have been kind to me since I started posting here. It is always exciting to talk to knowledgeable fans who truly are passionate about their team and the game, in general.

PSU is on the rise and will always be a storied program. Your success does not rise or fall on the presence of any one person. Always remember that!

Your coach has had past success; your fanbase is wonderful; campus is world class. I am looking forward to you guys winning your conference over the next few years.

Thank you for your hospitality! With the coaching change, I know my continued presence here will be unwelcome, so I will go back to Volquest. If you ever want to talk football, however - I'm your man.

Seriously, you're presence here is welcome. We like having opposing fans here who are respectful (just roll with the punches over the past few days- it only takes a few for things to spiral out of control but please don't see that as Vol fans being unwelcome ;)). I hope you and the other good Vol fans who have stopped by the last few days continue to visit and discuss issues. This board hits everything possible from football to best grill to best restaurants/ hotels in Prague (especially in the off season). ;)

Pry is a damn good coach and you shouldn't see much drop off in scheme or performance if the losses on D are taken care of. Good luck.

Thanks for the nice words. No need to apologize. College football is an arms race. I'm excited we had such a desired coach for 2 years. Both Tennessee and Penn State will be at the top in the near future (you guys a little quicker). Personally, I would love if more fans from other storied programs like yourself would stop by for civil conversation. Sharing our love for college football is what makes this game great!

I almost can't wait for the laughter that I will experience when Shoop's defense folds up like a cheese omelette and allows game winning touchdown drives to Alabama, Florida, Auburn, and LSU.

I have been on this site for a few days, and you sir are the worst kind of fan. Constant bitching and moaning about PSU and vitoral post about any other team. You must be an absolute joy to hang out with. Is this what is called a NegaLion? We certainly have our NegaVols on our site.

You may be right as I don't know Coach Shoop as well as you. Our inability to defend against late game heroics is one of the reasons we made a change. I hope we have made the right decision.
 
Tennessee is my second favorite team to root for. I had an uncle that played for the General and he never left Tenn.
 
Nice post but jesus people are acting like Shoop is GOD. He's not, otherwise 21guns would not have the venom to spew those things we all saw this past year. I personally thought Shoop was a fine coach but overrated, but considering that he replaced an overmatched and unqualified Butler it seemed like it was God. I think the D regressed this year and with 3 top 3 round picks on the D line, kind of tough to stomach.
 
Welcome socalvolfan.....come post here anytime. I have been to many games in Neyland. In fact a lot of my family are VOls fans...and I have a few alums thrown in there too. You seem like a great guy. I was at the Arkansas game this year and had a blast.
