I, like many of you, am wondering how in the world we’re going to be able to take 30 (plus) in the ’20 class. As it stands going into the ’20 season, we’ll have the following kids graduate from the program:

OL Gonzalez
OL Kelly
WR Carr
WR Chesina
WR Lutz
DT Windsor
LB Brown
LB Johnson
CB Reid
S Taylor
S Petrishon
P Gillikin

Add to those 12 the 4 spots currently available and we’re up to 16 spots.

Likely to leave early:

WR Hamler
DE Gross-Matos
CB Castro-Fields

Now up to 19 spots

Could also leave early
OL Fries
OL Menet
QB Clifford (if he has a great season and his stock is high enough—not likely but “could” happen)
DE Toney
DE Simmons
DT Shelton

That takes us to 25… still have to come up with 5 more- and that’s if everyone I’ve listed above leaves.

So while I know some hate to talk about this but it’s a harsh reality, we’re going to have kids leave the program, here’s some other potential exits:

WR Sullivan-Brown
WR Hippenhammer
DT Jordan (calls it a career due to injuries)
CB Brown (not in the rotation)

One of the QBs and maybe another corner? Of course, there are always surprises and I’m certain Franklin, who has a read on the pulse of the team, already knows of players who are likely going to decide to make a move due to lack of pt or overall unhappiness so I’m not suggesting it’s impossible or that Franklin is crazy, I just find it interesting to go through the roster and try to figure out hw we can get to 30.

Thoughts?
