I'm not as optimistic as many here. I'm not sure where the premier DB play is going to come from to reverse the trend from last season.
While one can expect a healthy Clifford to improve, WR remains a huge ?
I'm not saying the cupboard is bare.....that's for sure. However, until I see a victory over VT, I'm leaning toward 10-3 or 11-2. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Great players, bad game management. Hopefully we are good enough to overcome Franklins poor game management.

The end-of-half, end-of-game clock management is definitely questionable at times. The use of timeouts right before half of the Cotton Bowl, for example, basically gave Memphis 3 points. This isn't new.

But his game management is actually pretty solid. If it was "bad", we wouldn't have won 11 games three times in four years. Not without Alabama-type talent.......which we haven't had.

My concern for 2020 (aside from WR) is the secondary. Have to cut down on the huge plays.

I expected this to be our finest year with a great shot at the CFP, however this pandemic has hurt PSU more than other schools IMO. We needed the Spring to help build a cohesive offense with the addition of a new coordinator. It's less than optimal to be breaking in a new OC for the first time in August.

No fades to our shortest WR and we should be good. ;)

Seriously though - on paper team looks solid. So happy Shaka, Pat, and Menet returned. I still think we need more athleticism at QB but Clifford should thrive with a healthy line, stable of backs, and an All American TE to get out of jams. Someone needs to step up at WR to help Dotson - might be one or both of the FR. D is as deep and talented as ever - if there is any way for Parsons to improve be scared. Very scared. Also excited to see Smith play more - hits like the fist of an angry God.

this was going to be the year, but I don't think there will be a season this year

There are and have been a shit ton of elite recruiters who didn’t win double digit games multiple times....he must be doing something else right.

He has always had a very good coaching staff. How many other compliments to you want to give him for being 9-3 at Penn State?
