Penn State HC James Franklin said that junior QB Christian Hackenberg's shoulder injury was "not anything really serious."
Hackenberg was knocked out of Saturday's TaxSlayer Bowl tango with Georgia after he landed on his throwing shoulder (that's his right one) in the second quarter. He didn't re-enter the contest and after the game declared for the 2016 NFL Draft. X-rays came back negative for the 6-foot-4, 212-pound junior. He'll have some time to rest up the bum wing before the draft process commences in full. Hack figures to be one of the more debated names in the pool, as his talent and his results have not always lined up.
