Just read an article in the Wall Street journal by a finance professor who analyzes what each program would be worth if it could be bought and sold like a professional franchise. Ohio State tops the list at $1.96 billion, Penn State comes in at seventh valued at $1.02 billion. Don't know who this guy is or how accurate his findings are, but his analysis does help lay aside any thoughts that money isn't the true driver in what is occurring across the college football landscape.
