How predictable - Wisconsin is "playoff worthy", PSU isn't, according to traditional b1g turd types

....because PSU played a relatively close game against 5-2 ASWP, but now all we're going to hear is "a win is all that matters" if Wisconsin ends up beating 2-4 (would be 2-5 if Wisco wins) Ill-Noise.

Also LMFAO at the BTN "tradionalist" homers who all rated Wisconsin's Defense better than PSU. They look pretty ordinary against a bad 2-4 Ill-Noise team.

I think you mean Illinois

Lol Joey Galloway. Wisconsin can still get in. Lot of football. Ohio state next week. Iowa. Minnesota. And then Ohio State in the B10 champ game.

lol.

Wisconsin is still likely to be in the CCG playing in the pathetic west division. That allows them a shot if they win out but to do that they need to beat OSU twice or OSU and PSU, either way, unlikely.

Wisconsin will get in if they win out. 12-1 with wins over UM, OSU, MINN, and OSU or PSU. But that's a long shot.

It sounds like I’m being too harsh on Wisc. Again, they’re great at what they do - perhaps even the best at it. Problem is, what they do is not a great formula for contending with the big dogs.

Maybe, if they would beat OSU, and then if it was an undefeated PSU in the championship game, could push through. Longshot , but a lot of football left to play.

Why do you bother yourself with this nonsense? Just win, baby. Starts with tonight and then dont let us off yet again next week against friggin MSU. No excuses. Beat them both, period. Nothing to whine about. Get it done.

Heather Dennich with espn says it's a big hit to the big ten, now Ohio State is left to shoulder the load of getting a Big10 team into the playoffs. I love how everyone just dismisses Penn State, the number 7 team in the country. It's a foregone conclusion that of course State will lose to OSU in their minds.

It doesn't matter what they think as long as we keep winning.

Pretty much no one is going undefeated, so it does matter. Win em all and we’re in (but so is every other P5 program)....the problem is when almost every team eventually loses at least one.

How's that, pretty clear that Wisconsin is not among the elite in their own conference, let alone the nation, despite what the myopic, homer traditional b1g turds say.

This definitely helps the SEC get two or possibly three teams. The Big Ten before this loss had a realistic shot at getting two teams. That's now dead. Wisconsin proved they likely aren't elite today but perception matters. Wisconsin losing isn't good for the Big Ten or Penn State.

SEC is the only conference that ever had a chance at getting two teams in.

The national pundits disagree with your assessment. There was an chance, even if it was slim, for an Penn State or Ohio State to get in at 12-1 o 11-1 depending on how everything else plays out. Now the SEC looks like a lock to get at least 2. Depending on what you think of Oklahoma.

I’ve said all season the SEC will get two in now that the talking heads feel LSU and Florida are back to being world beaters. I also don’t care what they were saying about the Big, no way that lasts.

Fair enough but the hype around the Big Ten ended today.

PLEASE stop being sensitive. Everyone other than Ohio, Michigan, and O’Neill wants penn state to be legit.

Agree but there is a lot of season left. LSU has to go to Auburn next week. They still have Bama. UGA and UF will knock one out. The other has to beat LSU or Bama in the title game. Clemson and OU still have a shot to be there. OSU as well. Long way to go. This young team and defense has me thinking they can play with anyone. Hopefully they confirm that again tonight. Stomach is already in knots!!!

SECs best shot at 2 teams lies with Alabama and LSU. They likely meet for the West. Winner needs to win the CCG with the loser winning out and perhaps slipping in late amongst the usual chaos.

UGA/UF play next week in essentially a loser-is-out game. Winning out is their only way in. Either of them winning hurts anybody but Bama in my book.

OU and or Clemson losing once would help the SEC cause, but might not be necessary if the B10 doesn't have an undefeated team. Still a lot of football left. If Wisconsin can lose to Illinois... Sure, anybody can lose any week.

If Georgia or Florida win out the SEC definitely gets two teams and possibly 3. Worst case scenario for everyone else is probably LSU beating Bama then Georgia beating LSU. Wisconsin losing today is going to make it very difficult for the Big Ten to get an undefeated champion in.

She has no idea what she is talking about when she leaves UM and PSU out of the conversation.

If UGA or Florida win out, it's going to hurt the SECs chances of getting two in. No way does it elevate a third unless OU, Clemson and the B10 winner all have 2-losses.

The Bama/LSU loser likely remains ranked ahead of either East team at that point. Only Bama is getting in as a 1-loss who didn't make the CCG and no way is a Bama or LSU losing the CCG and getting in WITH the Bama/LSU loser too.

Helps us if we lose to osu and osu/uw split and if we beat osu And win the btcg Wisconsin’s record isn’t going to matter.

You think a 12-1 Bama or LSU that lost in a title game to Georgia/Florida is going to get left out? Are you kidding me? If Georgia wins out, LSU goes 12-1 and Bama 11-1 book 3 SEC teams unless 2 of OU, Clemson and Ohio State are undefeated. And even then I'm not convinced we don't get 3 SEC teams with how bad the Big XII and ACC are. And I'm not sure how the Big Ten is going to look now with Wisconsin losing to a very bad team.

I think a 1 loss BiG Champion gets in. The problem is PSU probably has to win at OSU for that to happen.

The East representative winning the CCG hurts the chances of getting 2 in, much less 3 unless the amount of chaos leaves nobody else with 0 or 1 loss.

Wisky losing to Illinois is comparable to UGA losing to South Carolina. If anything, Wisky got out played late vs UGA getting out played the entire game. Additionally, Wisky hasn't been recruiting like UGA either.

I think OSU steamrolling an undefeated Wisconsin would have hurt more than anything WRT the conference image. Ideally, both being undefeated and one pulling away late makes for the best optic. Still, a pissed off Wisconsin now might provide a better game. Their weaknesses plays into the Buckeyes hands. They'll go 8 in the box, man zero. They'll throw deep every 5 plays.

We'll see how things play out but we disagree across the board here.
