How the ****…..

Who are you even talking about? More details would be nice.
Olu Olu, an All American Center from UVA, just committed to transfer to Michigan (he has 1 year of eligibility left). He was a 2 star recruit out of DeMatha High School in Maryland.

Why in the world are we worried about a 2 star???!!!!!! 🙄🤔😉
He is an all American that finished top three in the voting for best center in college football. He comes from a penn state stronghold and just happens to play a position of immediate need.
Other than that he is just a portal kid from the University of Virginia.

I knew Franklin would F that up! How about going after the Wisky Ol kids in the portal? Might be a good move since we need a serious OL blood transfusion. Oh now wait James is trying to bring in Nate Bruce again!

I’m a huge Franklin fan but this is the shit that can’t happen. Not like the kid was from don bosco or St. John’s prep.
What’s Franklin supposed to do, run down there and hold him at knifepoint? since when is it assumed that PSU has exclusive rights to dematha kids past and present? I wouldn’t consider dematha a PSU stronghold, they miss on more than they get from there

They do? Please give me a list….

My God you make it seem like Allar and our other 5 star recruits are all tranferring to scUM. We need to focus on just getting better period.
You get better with better ****ing players. This shouldn’t be that hard of a concept.

Once Joe was permitted to be set up, the fart was lit for Penn State football.

Michigan wasn’t exactly tearing it up before this season and Harbsugh was on the ropes. I think next year they will take a big step back. I am not with happy with the performance of this team the last two seasons but let’s face it Michigan isn’t the model of consistenacy

In the last five full seasons, 3 NY6 bowls and 2 New Year's Day bowls. I wouldn't call that "off the rails".
We can agree to disagree. We are Penn State, not Rutgers. Two years in a row with a losing conference record gets you fired at most blue blood programs. Wonder what the FranklinBots are gonna say when PSU goes 7-5 again in 2022?

I must have missed it when Rutgers was going to all those bowl games.
I hope PSU beats the pants off of the Hogs on Saturday. "Woo Pig Sooie" is also in the top ten dumbest cheers in all of sports.

And that may be why some of those "blue blood" programs have become epic failures; Nebraska, Texas, Tennessee, USC, FSU, FLA...
Lets see what next year brings and this awesome recruiting class. If its still bad then we can start having this conversation for realz.
How's that for a "FranklinBot?

How is the train off the tracks exactly??
Are you serious with this question? Have you not watched the past two seasons? We are 11-10 the past two seasons. Is that what we expect for Penn State Football, a .500 winning percentage? That may be fine for you, but that is not fine for me because we should be better than that. We should be competing for Big Ten championships year in and year out, not struggling to stay middle of the pack in the Big Ten East. Franklin is being paid as a top 10/15 coach in the country, and last I checked we won’t finish in the top 25 for two seasons in a row. And don’t even try to come up with COVID-related excuses for the past two seasons, because all teams have had to endure COVID.

I've watched every single game of both teams this season. Arkansas is going to get 5-7 yards a clip running the ball straight down PSU's throat.

Last year doesn't count in my mind due to covid season.

This year PSU was four plays away from the CFP.

Also, if you judge everything on one year (or two years if you insist on including last year) that is extremely short sighted. Look at the last five. 99% of teams would kill for that kind of results (NY6 and NY day bowls). If you have higher expectations than that, you are delusional.

Last year doesn't count, seriously? Tell that to Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson, and Notre Dame, all of whom are top teams annually and made the College Football Playoff as they were expected to do so.

This year, 4 plays away from the CFP? Sorry but 4 plays does not create 5 losses to good and bad opponents.

My response had nothing to do with 2019 and years prior because those were good seasons. The 'train is off the tracks' is in response to the past 2 seasons and the current state of the team. Keep making excuses for lackluster performances.

If you want to count 2020 as a "normal" season you can, but IMHO that is ridiculous.

In 2021, four plays:

1) Against Iowa: don't give up long TD pass by Iowa OR Clifford not getting hurt and PSU wins
2) Against Illinois: score on any of first five 2 point conversions and PSU wins
3) Against MSU: Don't give up 20 yard TD pass on 4th and 15; PSU wins
4) Against Michigan: Don't give up long TD pass to UM TE, PSU wins

PSU finishes 11-1. Assuming everything else plays out the same, PSU would have won the east based on tiebreakers (OSU-UM-PSU all tied with 8-1 conference record) and PSU plays Wisconsin in the CCG. Win that and they are in the CFP.

Obviously, championship level teams make some of those plays. But "off the rails" suggests that they aren't competitive, i.e. getting blown out in multiple games per season. Only one game (OSU) was more than one score and certainly not a blowout (9 points). They were a VERY good team this and to imply otherwise suggests you didn't watch the games.

My post was simply an attempt to address all those who only care about star rankings!!! I know he's a baller, and I was not trying to belittle the kid.

In a related story, PSU recruits two kids from Cass Tech and one kid from Martin Luther King HS. All located in Detroit. In the same recruiting class. Michigan fans are currently tar and feathering khakis throughout the state.

Maybe the kid was pissed he didn't get an offer from PSU in HS since we lock down that school as people are saying.

You are what your record says you are 11-10 over the past two years. Given the players we have, that's damn near the wheels coming off.

I disagree with your definition of "wheels coming off."

Indiana is an example of the wheel coming off. They were 2-10 this year after going 14-7 in the prior two seasons.
