Yeah, the line should have done a little better job here. Allar also made a few poor decisions while blitzed….. looks like he could have thrown the ball away to avoid a couple of losses, but ate the ball instead. — Boise played well here.
I think this is still the worst criticism of him. Sometimes it's okay to take the sack. Sometimes that's actually the right decision. There was only one sack today (when we used our 2nd timeout in the first half) that he should have thrown it away instead of trying to scramble.
Throwing the ball away while under pressure is important but my point was more that we never seemed ready for it when Boise blitzed. Like we were surprised by it, and didn’t have those quick blitz beating plays ready.
A lot of times we had the right call but the blocking was executed. Nick missed a couple...they had a screen on one that resulted in a sack but Warren got caught up in traffic. We're never going to be a team that throws the ball consistently on 1.5-2 seconds. AK expects the Blitz to be picked up
Good question. However, a few times Drew held the ball too long, was indecicive, and took an unnecessary sack. That needs to be cleaned up. Also had two bad exchanges between him and Nick Singleton, one being a lost fumble.
Too many of the passing routes are long developing. Why so very few quick hitters? Longer routes contribute to sacks.

It’s a legitimate criticism. They were ineffective countering the blitz.
