and could have 5 minutes before the team Saturday at 1145 am, what would you say??
I’d tell them…

You’re the best team in the nation!!
Play like it today, 1 play at a time
This is what we’ve prepared for all season, you’re ready, let’s make it happen, Now, Today!
And we gotta start fast - no slow starts, punch these guys in the mouth from the start, 1st play, every play after..don’t let them even think they have a shot..,cause remember, it’s not just the 120 guys in this room, there’s 100,000 people out there playing with YOU - you are 100k strong

LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN!!

Thoughts?

I'd tell them that PSU fans would run him out of town if he loses another big game. Win one for the Franklin!

I saw the SMU coach saying the team was practicing at 7:00 am when the temp was 40 degrees. But 25 degrees is a lot colder than 40 degrees. I assume they'll arrive early and practice at a local high school.

It only matters what the coach says for about 5 minutes and in movies.

It really doesn’t matter what he says, pregame speeches have no impact on the outcome.

I think a lot depends on the feel of the locker room before the game. I think all of the posts here make sense. Pay attention to details, the only score that matters is the final one so play with poise no matter what, don't get baited into stupid penalties, and have fun; stay loose, play to win don't be afraid to lose.

Before the big Green Bay/Dallas "frozen tundra" game Vince Lombardi was afraid his team was too wound up. His pre-game speech was that he told a "Pollack" joke. When I played high school ball, one of the legends was that a team played a really crappy first half and the players expected the coach to light them up at halftime. Not a coach spoke a word until the refs informed them to leave the locker room and warm up. The coach simply stood up and said "OK, Ladies, time to go."

Don't play like "knuckleheads again" knock off the PF's!!! Those PF's and the 2 interceptions costs us the game. We could have beaten the Ducks!!!

Was going to say. 40 degrees = football weather. 25 = getting a little cold.
