OSU runs for over 250 yards against PSU. It's difficult to argue. Illinois had almost that much. Let's hope he's wrong.
not very bold I'd say, given the evidence to date.OSU runs for over 250 yards against PSU. It's difficult to argue. Illinois had almost that much. Let's hope he's wrong.
Yea, and if that happens Haskins will also have a field day throwing play action passes. You need a defense with a pulse to win games like this.OSU runs for over 250 yards against PSU. It's difficult to argue. Illinois had almost that much. Let's hope he's wrong.
IMHO, many are missing a very, very, very important factor in regards to how well duhO$U's Offense and overall team will play.... This weekend will be the first legit "road game" duhO$U will have played - let alone facing arguably the most difficult and hostile road environment in the Conference! (duhO$U did not play TCU in a real road game - the game was played at AT&T Stadium and supposedly duhO$U had at least a 60% to 40% advantage in support).
And before any of you know-nothing always-negative, posing-troll nimrods tell me how this factor isn't all that important, do tell me how mighty #3 ranked and heavy favorite duhO$U went into Kinnick Stadium last year and not only LOST, but got their over-rated asses kicked, 55-24 by UNRANKED Iowa??? OTOH, PSU has already won 2 true road games @ASWP and @Ill-noise. The fact that this game is @ The Beav in a night whiteout is a huge, huge, huge factor that renders comparisons of duhO$U's stats to-date completely irrelevant (just as they were last year when they went into the Iowa "road test" ranked #3 and laid an egg playing like an unranked DIAA patsy LMFAO! The fact that most of you dimwits think the fact thst this game is @PSU in a "Whiteout Game" is not a factor and largely meaningless demostrates what know-nothing morons and loser posing-trolls many of you are.

What's interesting about that Iowa game is that if you re-watch it Ohio State seemed to deflate about the time Nick Bosa left on a well-deserved targeting call. I don't know if it was because he's that much of a difference-maker since we're told all the others on that line are really good, or if it was just demoralizing to see that happen to your teammate. Whatever it was, it seemed to have an effect. Let's hope they have another epic collapse in them because I'd really like to see that, though I'd hate to be like Iowa and roll the Bucks then get rolled the next week. A 1-pt win would be enough as long as we win the next week, too.IMHO, many are missing a very, very, very important factor in regards to how well duhO$U's Offense and overall team will play.... PSU has a chance at home vs. OSU but most aren't counting on a defensive struggle. The over/under is 66.5 with OSU a 4 pt favorite for a reason.
- Nobody says the home whiteout crowd is meaningless.
- Fans aren't just concerned because the defense has struggled at times. They are concerned because the defense has been extremely porous quite frequently against inferior opponents.
- Part of the reason OSU lost at Iowa is because they were coming off an extremely physical and emotional game vs. OSU. The same reason PSU lost at MSU.
Again more deep insightYea, magnificent #3 ranked duhO$U played so well in their first real Conference "road test" last year??? (Ditto the year before in 2016 when #2 ranked duhO$U lost in their first real Conference "road test" to PSU). Those are little things know as FACTS Twit-boy, not your opinionated demogaguery! Absolute and UNQUESTIONABLE FACT that duhO$U has played like shit relative to their dominating statistics and uber-high Top 4 Ranking in each of the last 2 years in their first real "ROAD TEST". Why you suppose it will magically be different this year Twit-boy is a piece of imagined brilliance that only you know dipstick.
Bushwood is the bestThis guys posting style reminds me of a poster from a couple years back. Can’t think of the name right now
Again more deep insight
The part the Preppie forgot to type is that absolutely zero percent of his jibberish will mean a thing when the two teams step on the field Saturday evening.

ROTFLMAO. INSIGHTReally, it won't be duhO$U's first real Conference "road test" in 2018? You're so stupid, it's pointless trying to have a rationale debate with you as your statement is FACTUALLY INCORRECT dumbass, what a surprise coming from the always PSU-negative posing-troll crowd. But again, you're so dumb as a stump stupid you probably don't even see the FACTUALLY GLARING INACCURACY of your statement as you're so busy complimenting your own absurd inanity and retardation as wonderful "insight", LMFAO!
He loses his mind every GD year over these games. He doesn’t even enjoy it and sounds like a lunatic. This game is a toss up, who cares what is said.
Had to give this a like. It was a somewhat rational post. That's why they play the game on the field not on message boards.
The issue I can'T seem to get past is that our (PSU) defensive vulnerabilities are worse than those of OSU. I think both offenses will do well. PSU must be able to get pressure on Haskins without bringing the house or it will a 10-14 PT loss. Hopefully the crowd can rattle some of their OL and Haskins and we can get some breakthrough blitzes.David Jones has said this, of all people, and it applies here. In the Big Ten, where and when a game is played means more than almost anything. If PSU gets hot and the crowd gets into it, anything can happen.
It's looking like there are some pretty big mismatches between the tOSU offense and PSU D, but we really don't know for sure because tOSU hasn't been tested. It may be the PSU D can do some things the TCU D couldn't do.

Well PSU is going to have to play at least 1 safety up and LBers blitzing a lot. Requirement #1 is that they can't tip their blitzes. That has to be fixed. That will get them some TFL and sacks, but it will also give tOSU some chunk plays, and Dobbins has explosive speed so you can count on him taking it all the way once or twice.
Anyway I think Griffith's right, unless Franklin and Pry and the PSU D have been playing possum, you can count on tOSU running for 250 and passing for at least that many.
If PSU plays good red zone D maybe they can hold them to 42. The question then becomes, can the PSU O score more than 42 on those guys? Unlikely, but not impossible.
The issue I can'T seem to get past is that our (PSU) defensive vulnerabilities are worse than those of OSU.
