I'm trying to see the opponent's side of the argument.
1. How does a supplemental question on the census form discourage illegals from participating when our current immigration policy says this: "all you got to do is get here and you're here." Correct? It makes no sense.
2. The overall head count determines congressional representation and appropriations, not citizenship. Per The Constitution. Yes? So this is just fear-mongering by the Left.
3. It would be good to know how many illegals we have for public policy purposes. What's so damning about getting a head count. It's better than being in the dark.
I say the government prevails, but it will be a split decision along ideological lines. That's why it's important Trump is reelected so he can appoint RBG's replacement. IMO she's not much longer for this Earth.
