Hunting Hitler. In search of the truth.

After Hitler committed suicide several groups of Nazi higher ups, senior officers, and staff attempted to breakout of the Bunker. None made it more than a couple of blocks. Berlin was swarming with Soviet troops.

Hanna Reitsch flew in/out of Berlin on April 26th/ 28th (Hitler killed himself on 4/30) via an improvised air strip that the History Channel guys say was accessible from a secret tunnel that originated 20 yards from the bunker. I don't believe he made it out but it was definitely possible

For a moment let us assume that Hitler successfully escaped to Argentina. I would seriously doubt that a person of his ego would be willing to maintain an underground existence. We are talking about a former head of state, not some rebel cave dweller like bin Laden. Hitler thrived in the mode of building a world empire, he wasn't going to be satisfied sitting around in a basement playing Risk as a substitute.

He's been making all those YouTube videos.

No offense but do you really think a guy like Adolph Hitler could or would lay low and willingly silence himself? His personality was incapable of that. He was a megalomaniac. In his mind he was the center of the universe.

He swallowed a bullet under the chancellory. End of story.

The only interesting angle in that show is that Bob Baer is the host. I've read all of his books, very intelligent guy. It makes no sense.

He's in it for the $$. Same as the others. There's no money to be made in a show that reaffirms the record.

He could have escaped with Reitsch, and she begged him to go, but he refused.
