I am so excited , I can look forward to many more season's

I think lack of accountability is a real problem. You wonder why the same problems are seen year after year? There’s a stagnation that sets in when no one is held accountable. It’s seen at all levels at Penn State.

The players aren’t held accountable for their play. Luketa apparently said the D played ‘great’ today. They gave up 353 rushing yards in a blowout loss to Arkansas. The Arkansas QB had 110 rushing yards alone.

The head coach isn’t held accountable for the team play. He just got a ridiculous 10 year, $85 million contract extension after back to back 4-5 and 7-6 seasons.

The athletic director has no accountability. She just hires more and more associate/ assistant athletic directors to further insulate herself from any real decision making. How’s that fundraising going on the facility master plan? We don’t hear anything about that anymore and we’re about 5+ years (IIRC) in since it was announced.

The president is not held accountable for PSU’s falling academic standing and rankings or the prohibitive cost of attendance. He’s gotten bonuses and raises every year and undoubtedly will get a building named after him in a few months. Meanwhile Penn State’s academic standing has fallen each year.
Winner-winner chicken dinner.

I just hope there's actually competition for the job next season. I wouldn't blame Veilleux at all for jumping ship. Hate the concept of the portal but with Allar being brought in I'm surprised he didn't leave already.
That’s my worry regarding QB. There are some very good and highly ranked recruits coming in. They are going to want to play. By bringing Clifford back we’re now pushing back the natural transition at the QB position with the newbies now bunched up with Veilleux in reserve.

That may have worked in the past but with the portal you could lose 1-2 of these recruits before you even see what they can do.

It would be one thing if Clifford was playing great, but you’re going to risk your future at the QB position so Clifford can come back for another subpar year?

Barring some unforeseen mishap or scandal, PSU and James Franklin are solidly connected, likely for the next several years.

Perhaps you should find a new cause, or a new hobby, since demanding a change at Head Coach anytime soon appears futile.

It's possible to follow the team and comment good or bad without obsessing about the Coach.
I don’t expect Franklin to be at PSU in five years. If he returns to winning 11 games a year, PSU will finally call his bluff, and he’ll be gone. If he continues to underachieve, he’ll leave on his own and find another job (none of these guys like losing, even if they’re being paid well).
