I agree that the OSU/UNL line seems high. I just don't think Nebraska is very good. We shall see...

I guess this is more a statement about the rankings.

Nebraska is #10 with a signature win over (then) #22 Oregon (which was probably overrated before they went on a 5 game losing skid

they also beat Fresno State (1-8) and Wyoming (6-2, with a W against #13 Boise State) in other OOC games

they beat NW, Illinois, Indiana, and Purdue in B1G play. those team are a combined 7-13 in B1G conference play.

PSU beat 3 consecutive undefeated teams in the B1G

so how exactly is Nebraska ranked #10? Life is a mystery . . .

That is a BIG line in the OSU game... tells me OSU wins by 3 TDs.

I'm mystified by both rankings

but this illustrates the schism between the polls, and the guys in Vegas who set the lines

either Nebraska is #10, or they are 17 point underdogs. They cannot be both.

OSU was #2 and lost to a (then) unranked team.

they are ranked higher than Texas A&M, sole loss to #1 Alabama

and Florida, who lost to a ranked Tennessee

the #10 team in the nation lost by almost 60 points to the #6 team in the nation

Baylor got humiliated

OK state won.

Yep....I missed on that one big-time. They played a helluva game and finally looked like a team to be reckoned with. Also think Nebby was a little overrated (which hurt even more when they lost Armstrong). Makes me wonder what Vegas knew ahead of time because there was no way they had been playing like a 17 point favorite for the past month.
