It ain't the running backs. It's the offensive line, better known as the DOUGH BOYZ
Not their fault period. They have no holes to run through and are tackled behind the line of scrimmage nearly every run.
disagree...the ONLY RB that can break a tackle is Lee...and they don't give him the ball enough...he always has the best avg among the RB's...this RB room kinda stinks honestly...no home run hitter...almost no one can make someone miss or break a tackle...yes this OL is more built for the pass (and the scheme itself) but these RB's almost never make anything happen
Jim Brown could not have gained a yard with this soft offensive line, but keep on making excuses for them...8 years and this soft fraud of a head coach can't make an offensive line. Joe is rolling over in his grave
Both units deserve their share of the blame. This is the most overrated, unproductive group of running backs at PSU in the past 40 years, and that includes the Dark Years backfield of Austin Scott, Tony Hunt, and Ricky Upton.
Glov. Have they had the Lawn Boyz thing this year? I don’t recall seeing it.
Maybe they didn't but you can bet we won't see it at all with these RB's and current O-line.

If, against Auburn or Wiscy, we had an RB run for say 120+, they would have been wearing it on the sidelines.
Maybe not, but in 2003 he had 34 carries for 110 yards for a 3.2 yard average. 04 and 05 he carried the mail well tho
