Alot of upperclassmen starters on the OL. All well over 300 lbs except RT who is smallish @ 6-2, 302.

DL is smallish but again upperclassmen as are LBers.

Starting QB is a Sophomore and starting RB is listed @ 5'8", 178 lbs.

Secondary has some younger players with decent size.

Hopefully PSU has a better showing against Delaware than they did against Villanova a few years ago.

UD has beaten Navy and played both Pitt and Wake into the 4th quarter over the years. But I agree that we are much better than those teams and they are probably not at their traditional standard yet. Blow Out.

If Delaware is in this game half way thru the third quarter, we may have more problems than we think or choose to admit. Talent wise this should have blow out written all over it. No matter how hard the Hens try.

Their D front 7 will get manhandled. The only way they can make it interesting is perfect execution and ball control on the offensive side but not likely obviously.

Well, just looking at them now. They are ranked in their division nationally at 22nd. They were 8-5 last year with a lot of kids back.

All I can say is we better dominate the line of scrimmage. D-Line has to be dominant and the O-Line can't have a collapsing pocket. I don't care if Delaware has a big offensive line, there is a reason they are playing at Delaware. If this does not happen....Ruh Ro.

Although it definitely would be good to be able to play the backups as early as the third quarter, I also hope that this team is faced with some challenges by Delaware, otherwise this game is a complete waste of time.

The most important thing with this game after winning is to stay healthy, God willing.

I agree, you hope the Hens are decent but my biggest fear is we look lousy again vs the run and their O-Line looks as good as our D-Line. Just no excuses if that happens.

The d-line was poor for most of the second half, but I thought that they improved as the game progressed. I really don't pay attention to the yards that the qb gained because he's a really good runner and PSU likely won't face a better running qb the rest of the season. Also, one of WVU's o-linemen is a preseason All American, and their o-line is supposed to be a strength. It's conceivable that their o-line will be in the top four or five that PSU faces all season.

With the above said, if PSU had a few of FSU's and LSU's d-linemen who can destroy games, I really believe that this team really would be a certain playoff contender, if they aren't already.

Yeah, yeah I know, but what you’re not taking into account is that the Blue Hens will probably be taking us lightly. They’ll be looking ahead to their big game with St. Francis next week.

What hell are we talking about? This is DELAWARE. I don't care how many guys they have coming back or how big their line is. If this is even close to a game, shame on us.

My partner played at Dartmouth until he hurt his knee. Take a look at how many 300 plus pounds OL are on Ivy League rosters these days.

LSU's DL was the dominant force for 2 quarters in that game. FSU finally got some rush when they had a lead and LSU had to drop back pass.

Points is what matters. We need to score them as well as hold them down. The days of 21-17 have passed. 49-45 is fine, as long as we are the 49.
