I wonder if Reeves will be back in the line up for this evening's game aginst Neb.

I fear we've seen the last of Reaves for this season

With or without Josh Reaves, this is what we got.

This team could use a good perimeter shooter and a good power forward, but the existing talent should still be good enough to beat teams like NC State, Rider, Wisconsin, Maryland, and Indiana. Things like playing hard for 40 minutes, getting back on defense, blocking out, getting the ball into the post instead of settling for perimeter shots, etc. don't require more talent. They require attitude and this team hasn't displayed that so far this season.

You mean that same NC State team that beat Duke?

Yes, that team. I understand an occassional upset but this team hasn't beat anybody with a pulse and it's not because of a lack of talent. Wisconsin and Indiana are both 1-4 in the BiG. Guess who their 1 win is against.

Yeah.. the same team.. UNC Greenboro and Northern Iowa were also able to beat NC State.
Seems like they are playing better now as they also beat ranked Arizona and Clemson. Seems they are playing much better now.

I believe you meant to say Iowa, not Indiana.

So then you believe with the existing talent that we should be 17-1 and top 5 in the nation?

What are you talking about top 5 in the nation? We've only played 1 team in the top 39 in the Pomery rankings. NC State is 68th. Wisconsin is 71st. Indiana is 90th. Rider is 121st. Win 3 of those 4 and we're 15-3. That still wouldn't put us in the top 25 with our schedule.

I meant Indiana but you're correct that they are not 1-4. We didn't block out and we gave up way too many offensive rebounds. Just like Rider we were in the bonus with more than 10 minutes left in the game and didn't even try to get the ball to Watkins down low (he had a total of 4 shot attempts the whole game and made all 4). I'm tired of announcers talking about how we don't get back on defense. Not a good effort at all.
