If on September 25, 2016, you were told that the 2017 team was in line to win 10 games

and go to a Major Bowl, many posters here would have asked for a drug test. We had just been blown out by MI. The preseason hope was to try and get to 8 wins. Many here were spoiled by the magical run of 2016 and it was. However the sanctions did happen. Just this past recruiting class did the stink of Sandusky wane. Franklin's first class was as good as could be hoped for, but not at a level to compete at the highest level. We are still catching up, but finally on the conversation for elite talent. Is it fair to question the coaching decisions in some cases? Of course. I'm not happy with some of the play calling or the repeated blitzes that weren't working. You know what, Urban Meyer has been blasted by many OSU fans the past two years, but I don't think they want him fired. We are four points away from being undefeated, and frankly way ahead of schedule of where we thought we would be. At some point the loss of a Bates and Bucholz wouldn't be game changing. We're getting there. The staff knows we still have issues on the O and D lines. That's what they will still take 3 elite DE's at this point over very good prospects in Raines and Enis.Again, doesn't mean Franklin, Pry and JoMo are beyond questioning, just some realistic perspective please.
