It will wind up with the #9 recruiting class for 2017. It has to hold onto Thorpe and the Indiana (Ft Wayne) WR plus Dylan Rivers. CJ is the one that cannot be lost to UCLA/Bradley or Michigan/Zordich. UCLA is the big threat. With Godwin and Sickles moving to the NFL early and White transferring to Albany, 3 scholies became available; Journey Brown (a vastly underrated get) got 1 of the 3; Franklin has 2 more he can give.

I think Thorpe is a Lion. Hipp on the other hand is probably gone. If ND was his dream school, I don't begrudge the kid. I think we can pick up a receiver anyway. It will all work out well for PSU. IMO the program has moved on from obsessing over 1 or 2 individuals. The 2018 class will be historic if CJF can hold it together. A repeat of this season should do it.
Thorpe, IIRC, is on campus this weekend.

I wonder about these scholarships. Are they only good for the summer? Do they not become effective until 2018?
