125 is definitely weak after the top 2-3, so it's possible that either could AA.
For the sake of this discussion, let's just say Berge goes at 149, no disrespect to Verk. Berge beat Maruca wrestling fairly conservatively. 149 is not very deep. We know he has more offense in his arsenal so I like his odds to AA at 149.
Toughest call is RBY. His talent, quickness, and wrestling IQ is off the charts, but 133 is insanely deep and experienced. I like his chances, but it's certainly no lock.
Barring injuries (knock on wood), the other 7 are stone cold locks.
What a time to be a PSU fan!!!

When does Teasdale report in? Now, or when the next semester begins?

10 AA's are very possible with one of them but the good part is it most likely won't be needed.

Agreed, that it won't be needed. BUT, it would be FUN to do and I don't think wants to shirt them both this year. It would complicate the lineup projections going forward.

Teasdale just dropped out of school a few weeks ago due to illness/stress. Doesn't seem very Cael-like to throw him in the line up just to go for 10AAs or chase a team points record. PSU is the odds on favorite without him so why potentially jeopardize this kid's entire future by pushing him too hard, too soon?

You're making a lot of assumptions here. None of us know the real circumstances of his dropping out. Maybe wrestling this year was a large motivator to him getting better? Who knows? Either way, if either of them go, it would be interesting to see if we get to 10.

If I understand this correctly, if GT does not wrestle this year it is a greyshirt year? Meaning he would still have a redshirt year available in the future?

I'm making zero assumptions - the press release specifically mentioned that he dropped oit of school for medical reasons.

There was a hint from Cael in an interview that Teasdale and/or Teske might possibly take part in an open tournament this weekend. Is that happening? Did it occur? I looked at the Cleveland State Open but didn't see either of them listed.

I am curious as why you think Teske could finish in the top 8 at the NCAAs. Like you mention 125 lbs. isn't as deep as some other classes but Teske hasn't even wrestled a match in college. He only lost one match in high school (175-1 record ) losing only to Alex Thomsen (190-1) whose only loss was to Teske. Thomsen is 9-2 with both losses coming to Minnesota back ups. Unless Teske has greatly improved I can't see them pulling his redshirt.

Anyone here pick Nico to make the Finals his Freshman year?

So you are saying it would be impossible for Teske to AA this year, right? I will wait and see how he does at the Scuffle before offering an opinion.

If i were a betting man, I would put my money on Teske being on about the same level, or just slightly above, (an improved) Schnupp. Very respectable wrestler, but by no means an AA contender. He needs a year in the room.

Not impossible but I don't agree with the original post saying it is possible because the field is weak after the top 2 or 3. There are still some good experienced wrestlers besides the top 2 or 3.
