If the Penguins win tonight are the Bruins eliminated? I may need to root

Almost, but not quite.

B's can still make it with a win tomorrow and Ottawa loss in regulation.

With no Letang returning Pens would be better off tanking for lottery chip.

That 1% chance at McDavid would be better than their chances of getting out of the first round without Letang.

Rutherford's mismanagement of the cap has easily cost this team 4 or 5 games in the past 2 weeks. You can't realistically expect to play 5 D in a pro hockey game and have any type of success. Considering that 4 of those 5 D are really 3rd pairing quality and this is what you get.

The fans booing the players should be marching on the front office (including 66) instead. The players are busting their asses right now. Effort is not the issue.

They gave up their first round pick for Perron. Also, I suspect many

of those fans bashing the GM would be similarly bashing him had he not spent to the cap. The Pens lot here is bad luck. What were the odds that Matta, Erhoff, Letang and Dupuis would all be lost to season ending/significant injuries. They haven't been able to put out a consistent lineup most of the season. What did people expect to happen?
