Ill-Noise losing to Kansas 21-0....

I’m not sure why any PSU fan would be happy about Illinois losing to Kansas…does us no good whatsoever.
Who is happy about it? It's horrible for us but also what happens when people on this board pretend horrible teams on our schedule are good. Which also isn't productive.

And it won’t hurt Michigan at all.
It will if they're going against Bama for the final playoff spot.
Penn State and Michigan can't afford to be in a battle with anyone with a legit non-conference schedule for a playoff pot. We have to schdeule better. Although you're welcome to continue to pretend WVU (who's projected to win 4-5 games0 is a good team. We'll see what the committee thinks.

If Bama has one loss, they’re in regardless of schedule. The only teams that have a chance to get in ahead of a one loss Bama are undefeated P5 teams and a one loss SEC champ. Bama’s schedule doesn’t matter.

Replace them with FSU because of the LSU win over the garbage Michigan plays.

Three members of the Illinois secondary from last year are playing in the NFL. The replacements are good players but they're still getting their feet on the ground, so PSU should have an advantage there.

Illinois also lost all -B1G running back Chase Brown and center Alex Pihlstrom.

I doubt PSU is feeling overconfident as plenty of players saw Illinois beat PSU 2 years ago. In terms of athletic talent, there's just no comparison between Illinois and who PSU has played so far this year.
