The result of the Rose Bowl was relatively meaningless. No matter the result, our season was over Tuesday morning and soon after the team would start looking toward the 2017 season where we will realistically be competing for a national championship. As much as losing the Rose Bowl at the last second sucked, it 1) gave the team further confidence that they can play with anyone in the country, and 2) will make them hungry to work harder in the off-season.

I could see the way the game ended being a positive for the 2017 season. The players and the coaches will learn a lot from the way the game ended and hopefully this game will help the teamnext year when a similar situation presents itself and a national championship is on the line.
