I guess for all of our bitching about Jay (much deservedly so), I (and maybe most of us) didn't even know Schemmy existed until he was hired, and then unhired.

Michigan people likely knew about him and his career- seems to have been succesful as a scout and a natural hire to sell players and families. Then some online stuff pops up that would potentially limit his ability to recruit and POOF...dude disappears from a job that appeared to be his destiny, in a matter of days.
