I know PSU, like all teams, has had to deal with injuries to wrestlers projected to contribute (Nevills, Cassar, Cortez...) and those already contributing (Suriano, Cutch last year). I was wondering people's opinions on how injuries have comparatively impacted the top teams. Has one team had unusually bad luck with injuries or conversely, been unusually healthy?

The pokes lost Brock and Crutch last year and Jo Jo was wrestling injured. Cutch and NN were hampered for PSU. We all remember the injuries that doomed bright careers for the Altons. No team is safe.

Member that time Frank Molinaro got hurt and only finished first on one leg?
The "rest of the story" is a compelling one...shared by Molinaro in an article I can't find. If anyone can find it and post it on this thread, please do...it would be worth reading for those that don't know the backstory leading to his finals win.

I have no idea where to find that, but you are right. Good story. Did not sit there feeling sorry for himself very long.

I'm going off of memory, so correct me where I am wrong, but:

..... I think Cael approached Frank after the injury and told him "Oh, you got hurt and it sucks. Well, let's go to the tournament director and forfeit you out of the tournament now - or you can dig down deep and fight through this, finish the tournament, win the title, and complete your dream."

Glenn Pritzlaff, 1997. He injured his knee at Big Tens and went 0-2 at Nationals when he was easily top 3 or 4 when healthy.
