Can't disclose sources but this is accurate information from behind closed doors. Shoop departure was not totally unexpected & not totally unwelcomed by CJF. Shoop has a brilliant football mind & a quirky personality. Not that he didn't fit in but was always the guy at the end of the table. Was also a money play, donor picking up the buyout & Shoop making an extra million over next 3 years. Pry always viewed as capable & maybe better replacement. Hand was not expected & powers that be are not happy with him leaving. Despite negatives on this board, Hand was a dynamic recruiter & is very well respected in the football world. His decision based on solid & long friendship with Auburn powers, family (Oldest son at PSU but wife & other kids never left Vandy area) & money. But money not the driving motive here. No reports of staff turmoil or CJF security. Those leaving believe better things are coming for PSU & think CJF still the man but they must publicly go into sales mode for their new employers.
