I found this article, while looking for information on Penn State's 1921 Wrestling National Championship, prior to the start of the NCAA Championships, that started in 1928. Published on 6/3/08, I had never seen this article before and thought I would share it, a very interesting read on Penn State's wrestling history. Towards the end, Charlie Speidel, had an interesting quote about creating a happy family relationship, with all the wrestlers on the team. Sounded a lot like how Cael approaches this topic.

Always an enjoyable read.

It's been linked on this board quite a few times, most recently in a thread last week (CLICK HERE).

...I don't think his GPA would support your supposition...

...furthermore, bow ties and dirty white bucks were the "uniform of the day"...

"The wrestling program at Penn State is one of the most enduring of all in the collegiate mat world. The Nittany Lions first took to the mat in 1909, wrestling just one dual meet … losing to Cornell University. (It was one of only eleven losing seasons in a century of Penn State wrestling.) "

I guess PSU really didn't just discover wrestling since Cael arrived?
