I wasn't saying there was.

Try to follow the logic:

1. High-level administrators knew of allegations of abuse on Penn State premises in 1998;

2. The Chief of Police for PSU knew that a psychologist had tagged Sandusky as a probable pedophile in 1998 (this became public knowledge in December 2011, shortly after the presentment)

3. An employee reports he was an eyewitness to abuse on Penn State premises in 2001

4. Another employee (the janitor) reportedly saw Sandusky abusing a child

5. Multiple victims say they were abused on Penn State premises.

The idea that PSU could stick its head in the sand in Nov.-Dec. 2011 and pretend nothing had happened and wait for it to all go away is ludicrous. This is especially true since high-level Penn State administrators were already alleged to have engaged in a cover up.

Penn State had to agree to conduct an investigation at that point.
There is a herculean gap between "COVER UP TO PROTECT FOOTBALL," which is patently ridiculous to any human with a braincell and "CONFUSED AND MANIPULATED BY A MASTER MANIPULATOR." Even if 1-5 on your list are true (and there is plenty of evidence to suggest that 3-5 are questionable), the latter story is MUCH more plausible then the Freeh garbage.

The PSU chief of police knew that a psychologist retained by DPW concluded that Sandusky was a possible pedophile. You do know that DPW then had a second psychological evaluation done (over the objection of an assistant Centre County DA) which concluded that he was essentially harmless. Inasmuch as DPW obviously went with the second report rather than the second and failed to identify Sandusky as a possible pedophile, you think maybe the PSU Chief of Police also was aware of the second report and that Sandusky was not criminally charged in 1998 and DPW ignored the original psychological report and didn't do a damn thing about Sandusky.

"If there's more information, if we have a better picture, more full and complete picture, than I might take other actions," Williams said.

There's a thought.
The problem with this is he had what he needed to fire them a long time ago.

I know your post was sarcasm. I was just pointing out how horribly he handled this.

Okay, so we're clear, Wensilver says it would've been better for everybody concerned if nobody ever found out about Sandusky and the Joebots all agree. This goes hand-in-hand with the complaint that Corbett should've gone ahead and prosecuted Victim No. 1's case alone (because Victim No. 1 didn't implicate Penn State, natch). It also explains the animosity toward McQueary (he should've kept his big mouth shut! as several posters have said) and the extremely odd arguments that Sandusky is innocent or at least didn't get a fair shake.

It also puts the lie to the whole "All I want is the truth and let the chips fall where they may" refrain that is repeated so often.

From the Joebots point of view, the bad thing wasn't that Sandusky was sexually abusing little boys, some of them young enough that they probably still believed in Santa Claus, but that he got caught.

NO! How about the real truth? The PSU admin were duped and therefore weren't sure how to handle it. And the scandal is at the state (Corbett) and TSM, where it still resides.

, some of them young enough that they probably still believed in Santa Claus, /QUOTE]

Kids in JHS and HS till believe in Santa Claus?

You truly are living in a fantasy world, aren't you?

Little kids was not his MO, at least not in the narrative portrayed by the prosecution.

Ah, pulling out the Joebot card. There's an oldie but goodie.

just so we're clear, CDW said he likes to sniff his own fart bubbles in the tub, and he requires a team of circus monkeys and a gallon of Crisco to wax his back hair.

THAT was about as accurate as what he just posted. just sayin.

You are without a doubt the most clueless person on the planet and this post reeks of desperation on your part.

Actually, here is what she said, which is nothing like what you claimed she said.

"If Fina (cough, Corbett, cough) had just prosecuted Sandusky and left PSU alone, #hategate and #porngate never happens."

Your evil friends overplayed their hand when they dragged half a million Penn Staters through the mud, and they will pay for it. Karma has no deadline.

CDW is the most intellectually retarded, or ethically disingenuous (take your pick....and might be both) of all the circle-jerk parade from TOS.

He makes CR66 (CARNES, CARNES, CARNES....LOL Just want to see if he will "Pavlov" to the incantation) look like Socrates.

That's not the issue. The issue is, What does Penn State do after the presentment comes down, with a summary of McQueary's testimony concerning (whether true or not) of anal rape that was reported to administrators and evidence of high-level administrators knowing of a previous incident plus a number of victims claiming they'd been sexually assaulted on Penn State premises.

The consensus of the Joebots is that PSU should've ignored everything and circled the wagons because once investigations were started, there was no telling where they might lead. I think that's the exact reason why investigations were necessary.

My other point is, doing nothing was not an option. In November 2011, Penn State was the most hated institution in America. If it took an approach of "everybody go away and leave us alone" I don't think it would exist in anything resembling its tradiE

Seth Williams will be re-elected, Kathleen **** Kane will find out what porn really is in the big house, and I will sit back and scoff at the sh**storm that follows.
I can't stand Kane. IMHO she's just as bad as those she's bringing down.

That said, there's no excuse for Williams keeping Fina and the others. I don't care what Kane did to discipline those that still work in the OAG.

Women have the right to feel respected in their work environment. Co-workers viewing hardcore porn at the office, set in the workplace no less, is indefensible.
