First time visitors are expected to pay their respects to the Black Angel statue in the local cemetary, or have bad kharma.

If you have time a trip up to Cedar Rapids might be fun. I did work there over several years and watched the riverfront and downtown really boom.
No particular recommendation but generally a nice time.
BTW, you’d get to see a different group of people than you’d see in IC. Much nicer!
