Huge win for Trump. He got over the expectations bar big-time by pulling more than 50% of the vote and cruising to the largest winning margin in the history of the Iowa Republican primary. There's no stopping his nomination...and that's been clear for a long time.

DeSantis desperately needed a 2nd-place finish and got it...barely. So apparently his (pointless) campaign will continue. Scratch my prediction he'd drop out by Wednesday.

Even though Haley would have seen as a winner of sorts if she'd squeezed out another point or two in the popular vote to finish 2nd, she didn't hurt herself either. Strong showing and now positioned well for New Hampshire and South Carolina...both states where she is polling much better than DeSantis. Note that she was very gracious to Trump in her post-Iowa statement. I'm telling you guys -- she's running for VP...and don't be shocked if she gets it.

Vivek dropped out and is now officially back in Trump's good graces. So in the space of 5 days, he's gone from being a good guy...to a bad guy...to a good guy again. We need some sort of daily indicator as to his MAGA status.
