Iowa game time question….

I see Fox/FS1 has tv rights. Only other B10 game not already scheduled is UM@Nebraska.

I will be visiting my Juco baseball playing son in Missouri and it is only a four hour ride to Iowa City.

Best guesses on night game or no? He will have a Sat am practice and we could do a night game, but any other game is out. Curious how the ticket market might line up before/after announcement.

I think the networks would love to make it a night game in Iowa City but it’ll depend on team records at that point. IIRC it’s Iowa’s ‘stripe out’ game and their biggest home game of the season by far.

Could be the Big Noon Kickoff game unless they go with OU vs Texas (seems likely, but the other game listed is USC/Utah, which seems penciled in for 4 or 8 pm).

Given what else is going on that day, the time slot will be dependent on the win/loss records of both teams. IF we have two or three losses, look for an early start.

OU vs UT is always a Noon game in the Cotton bowl if both teams have one loss or less it will be a night game.

I'm talking about the Fox thing: Big Noon Kickoff.

I think ABC has the Red River this year. At least, no mention of Fox on the page I was scrolling to see what our competition was for game times.

Think PSU-Iowa will be at Noon on FOX with the pregame there, UTAH- USC will be a late game at 1030 on Fox or FS1 depending on MLB playoff scheduling.

They were also on ABC...this year, it will be on a Fox network. ABC likes to put their big game in Primetime, while Fox likes to put it at noon.

Agree with others on this thread; will be shocked if it’s not the Big Noon Fox game (11 AM local start). Will probably prevent me from heading out to Iowa City for game, but also believe it’s a better thing for PSU vs night game at Kinnick.

Iowa game is October 9th and the divisional series start on the 7th. Both NL games are scheduled for the 9th.

FOX will put the Dodgers or Giants on at 8PM.
