I predict Iowa in the end. Mich will come up small like they did against OSU. Interesting side note: the potential that 7 matches will feature a 6th year senior.

125 Lean Iowa
133 Michigan, possible bonus
141 Iowa, possible bonus
149 Michigan if Gomez, Iowa otherwise
157 Iowa in a snoozer, 2-1 if Lewan gets another late stalling or 4-1 SV1
165 Lean Iowa
174 Lean Mich (if no Gabe here)
184 Lean Mich (if no Gabe here, which I doubt)
197 Iowa, possible bonus
HWT Lean Mich

Worst case for Iowa is 5-5 if all of the tossups go toward the leans.

25 Ayala DEC DeAugustino, IA 3-0
33 Ragusin DEC Schriever, 3-3
41 Woods DEC Lemley, IA 6-3
49 Gomez MAJ Rathjen, UM 7-6
57 Death by Boredom, IA 9-7
65 Death by Boredom, UM 10-9
74 Griffith DEC Kennedy, UM 13-9
84 Bullock DEC Riggins, UM 17-9
97 Glazier MAJ Striggow, UM 17-13
HW Davison DEC Kueter, UM 20-13.

I’ll say they split the sedative matches at 57 and 65.

Caliendo is the one guy in those two matches that isn't boring, so I'd give both to Iowa. LOL.

Ayala dec D'Augistino 3-0 Iowa
Ragusin dec Schriever 3-3
Woods dec Lemley 6-3 Iowa (could see backups here since both sat out last week)
Gomez MD Rathjen 7-6 Mich
Franek dec Lewan 9-7 Iowa
Caliendo dec Amine 12-7 Iowa (let's be real..this years Amine sucks)
Griffith dec Kennedy 12-10 Iowa
Bullock dec Riggins 13-12 Mich
Glazier dec Striggow 15-13 Iowa
Davison dec Hill or Kueter 16-15 Mich

I have it 5-5..bonus will be key..141 could be huge..if Woods and Lemley dont go..Teske could be the hero

Iowa wins a nailbiter.

125 - Ayala DEC DeAugustino (3-0 Iowa) Not much to analyze here, Drake beat him as a true freshman and he'll beat him now.
133 - Ragusin DEC Schriever (3-3) I know he just majored Bouzakis but he's had a ton of close matches also, I think Schriever competes here
141 - Woods MD Lemley (7-3 Iowa) Methodical end of period takedown and rides get Woods a double digit win but not quite a tech.
149 - Gomez DEC Voinovich (7-6 Iowa) I think they want to give Voinovich a shot at a top guy and he's better at preventing bonus, if Gomez goes big and gets a pin here, a lot changes
157 - Franek SV DEC Lewan (10-6 Iowa) Honestly the referee should save time and just ask them if they would agree on starting in SV lol
165 - Caliendo DEC Amine (13-6 Iowa) Amine isn't in his best form yet, Caliendo look outstanding but I don't think he can bully him quite like Mitchell
174 - Griffith DEC Kennedy (13-9 Iowa) Griffith looks awful right now, Kennedy looks great but at the same time, I think Kennedy will struggle to finish on him
184 - Bullock DEC Riggins (13-12 Iowa) Arnold is an option here also ... I think Iowa risks it and saves his 184 matches for PSU/Oklahoma State ... if Iowa is DOWN (because they dropped an unexpected match or bonus doesn't go their way, I think Arnold goes and wins a decision match)
197 - Glazier MD Striggow (17-12 Iowa) Fun fact, Striggow hasn't been bonused outside of his 4 minute tech by Aaron and he wrestled Jaxon Smith so I can see this being a decision. But I'm giving Glazier a hat tip here for how hard he wrestles.
285 - Davison DEC Kueter (17-15 Iowa) Kueter competes the entire match and leaves no doubt he should be the starter this year

I am struggling to decide which scenario is better?

1). Iowa beats Michigan, sets unrealistic expectations if being competitive, only to have the lions rip their hearts from their chests and stomp on them.

2) Iowa loses and limps into next week fearing the inevitable and the lions rip their hearts from their chests and stomp on them.

Nobody that pays attention is predicting Iowa to beat PSU. There will be no heart ripping. Iowa is lucky to be competitive this year after this past year's events. Down but not out

This is very close to my thinking as well, except I think Ragusin will get the major (making it 17-16), and I think Iowa will get one upset somewhere, too, because they usually do, most likely PK or BK if Gabe isn’t in the lineup, so call it 20-13 final for Iowa.

HWT Lean Mich

Not sure how HWT is "lean Michigan." Davison is a possible/probable bonus over Hill, and Kueter's limited college action so far hasn't shown enough to say he's at Davison's level yet either.

That was based on Keuter in the lineup. Davison is a good matchup for BK because he is also (relatively) undersized for a HWT, which will allow BK to take advantage of his athleticism without getting overpowered. I still think Davison is the favorite, but I don't think there is as much separation as you do. I don't give Hill much chance if it's him instead of BK.

3) Iowa loses and every Iowa parent wearing eyeglasses shreds them out of frustration.

I'd normally agree with this, but Kueter has results that say otherwise. He's 2-0 so far. Pinned NW's Jessen who's really a 184 wrestling HWT. Beat Goofer Tabor (240 lb, ranked 29th) 5-3.

Davison also has a clear experience and training advantage. If Kueter had been wrestling the entire year (like Feldman), this might be a different story. I don't expect Davison to bonus Kueter, but he should be a solid favorite as opposed to a "lean."

Feldman is a full sized HWT. He looked like a beast compared to Davison. His power is only growing at this point. Not that I think he'll beat Kerk, but he'll be a title contender/favorite when Kerk is gone.

Has anyone seen Feldman's recent weigh-ins? He was 230 at Malvern. If he intends to be a freestyle 97 kg, then that's close to the max.

Also he's 5-11, so according to our Mirasola experts, he's too short to be an effective college HWT despite being the same height as Snyder.

I'm just going by eye test. He looked significantly bigger and stronger than Davison in their match last weekend (and not bigger in a Hutmacher old-school fat guys HWT way, either...). His neck was like a telephone pole.

I don't consider PK over Shane a huge upset with how they have looked. I think that one is a tossup. My personal opinion is just Shane is not a good matchup for PK and wins in some boring manner, possibly in tiebreakers lol.
